You can go for a Pulsar 180.. It May be a bit dated but its good... you can use it for just anything... everything about this bike is balanced right from pillion comfort to riding posture though it doesnt score heavily in any department .... but not so refined like the r15... and spares of pulsars are anyday more readily available than the yamahas....

Question Plannig to buy a bike...

Hi guys, i intend to buy a bike. I have test ridden the FZ 16 and Pulsar 200.

I felt the FZ 16 a bit underpowered!...Now whether it is because i presently ride my bro`s classic CBZ or i was expecting the bike to deliever in accordance with its looks. Nevertheless, the handling, riding position is spot on, i must say.

Coming to the Pulsar 200, the riding postion is good, and feels inspired, if i may say so. Pick up is definitely better than both FZ and my classic CBZ.However the bike feels heavy.

Now coming to my riding style, well...i don`t race, or drag except for the occasional signal to signal Also there are hardly any tours, if at all, it is less than 150kms to and fro. So basically i am at peace with my machine.

I also intend to test the RTR refresh/FI. Can you guys help me with your experience/observations of all the 3 bike?...I am more inclined towards the FZ

Yes P200(~152kg) is slightly heavier than new CBZ(~145kg) but it is far too much heavier than FZ16(~130-135kg). [all kerb weights, as far as I know]
As per the requirements, you don't seem to be much into high performance or major touring, so if FZ16 looks you to be underpowered, I guess, RTR or RTR FI will definitely suit you. It is a good bike to fickle around, a really good power, feels always in control, weight is again Ok(~136kg).
I guess, Unicorn or Suzuki GS150R can also suit you if you don't find Unicorn boring and GS bulky -- which is the case with me.

If you are inclined to FZ, just check around the ownership thread or any thread where they(including me too) had asked about issues in that bike(not engineering wise but feature wise).
