Default Hello Everyone! Sukesh's Intro Thread!

    Hello xBhp,

Name's Sukesh and along with my wife, Indu, reside in Bengaluru and we have recently started travelling on my bike.

To be entirely honest, we have traveled on road but it was in a car all these days (own or rented, depending on location). One of the primary reason for choosing 4 wheels over 2 was my other interest, viz. Photography. Being into wildlife photography (NOT professionally), the gear that we used to carry with me for all trips is quite heavy and bulky (a single lens that weighs about 2.3 Kgs and 17 inches long!).

Similar (not the exact same) to what Tom Cruise says in Knight and Day, I wanted to travel across Ireland with nothing but a motorcycle and a backpack. But marriage changed that idea and started travelling in a car. However, a few trips around Bengaluru have got both me and, more importantly, my wife, interested in this mode of travel (or life, for most bikers).

We currently own a RE Classic 350 (2017). Haven't made any modifications to the bike except for the seat (a great job done by Gear Gear Motorcycles in Wilson Garden). The safety gear that I own now are quite limited, just 1 to be precise: BBG Full Gauntlet Gloves. (Will be checking out the other threads for the jackets, boots and saddle bags to buy). The camera gear that we own and generally travel with are Nikon D3300, a 50mm Prime, a 70-300mm telephoto lens, the standard 18-55 kit lens (and occasionally the 200-500MM F/5.6E for wildlife tours) and a few more lens in the pipeline to be purchased as well as a Vanguard Tripod.

Looking forward to interacting with you all and learning from you all!

    Regards,
    Sukesh Chande

Hello and welcome to the family, Sukesh.
We are glad that you chose to switch from cars to motorcycles and decided to see what the world has to offer when you are on two wheels instead of four.
We wish you a whole lot of happy miles and also hope that you will share with us, what you see through your camera.
Also, that is some serious photography hardware and it makes us doubt what you said about you not being a professional wildlife photographer.
Do share the photos that you have taken from your trips with the community.
    Keep riding and ride safe.

Thank you very much for the warm welcome! Sure am excited.

And I'm really not being modest when I say I'm not a professional. There is still a lot of learning to be done! Many aspects.

Happy to share some of my clicks. These are mostly from Bandipur and Ranthambore. The waterfall one though was clicked in Sikkim.Name: DSC_2584-01.jpg
