Cycl0Bhp Challenge
 WHAT IS THE NORTHEAST CYCLOBHP CHALLENGE: The word Cycl0Bhp is derived from the word “Cycles” and “0Bhp” and 0Bhp means Zero Breaking Horse Power. This event will witness the first ever “Super D Race” – in India! A super D race is best described as a downhill cross country race, a timed event and can have either individual start times or a mass and involves less danger. The Super D is a great place to start if one is thinking about getting into racing because there is not much of climbing required as compared to endurance required for a typical XC race. This is a great event where a lot of people can also enjoy watching as those bike riding downhill through those terrains, banked corners and jumps. The Super D Race for BMX, MTB and other cycles will consist of a 2kms approx Downhill race on an abandon jungle road which includes of-road and on-road riding, manuevering through obstacles, 18 banked and flat corners, jumps and finally concludes on a small football field for the freestyle challenge and Slalom Race accompanied by DJ Music and freestyle dance challenge! The Freestyle bmx challenge will mostly consists of flatland challenge. Prizes: Senior Category Super D Race (mtb & bmx): First : Bmx/mtb bike gift+cash prizes+tshirt=worth more than Rs.10,000/- Second : Apparel Gift + Cash prizes+tshirt = worth more than Rs.5000/- Third : Cash prize + tshirts = worth more than Rs.2000/- Junior Category Super D Race (mtb & bmx): First : Bmx/mtb bike gift + cash prizes + tshirts = worth Rs.8,000/- Plus! Second : Apparel Gift + Cash prizes +tshirt= worth Rs.3500/- Plus! Third : Cash prize+tshirt = worth Rs.1000/- Plus! Freestyle bmx: First : Bmx/mtb bike gift+cash prizes+tshirt=worth more than Rs.10,000/- Second : Apparel Gift + Cash prizes+tshirt = worth more than Rs.5000/- Third : Cash prize + tshirts = worth more than Rs.2000/- Freestle Dance/BBoying Cash prizes: First : Cash Prize of Rs.4,000/- Second : Cash Prize of Rs.2500/- Third : Cash Prize of Rs.1000/-

@all above: Thanks buddies, hoping for the best! I am sure this is gonna make some differences in the 0Bhp community riders if not in the whole of India, but definitely Northeast India!

Brief Report of the event. On the 21st & 22nd January 2012, Shillong witness the “First Northeast Cycl0Bhp Challenge”, the first of its kind event to promote cycling as an adventurous sport and activity and BBoying. The event was organised at Nongpiur Village, Upper Shillong by Meghalaya xBhp Sports & Adventure Club in association with the Extreme Sports Association of India. Altogether 50 riders between the ages of 13 to 39 years from Meghalaya, Manipur and Mizoram participated in the Rally, SuperD Races and the Freestyle Bmx riding. There were special performances by Evolution Freestyle Riders (from Delhi, Dehradun, Ludhiana and Chandigarh), Cryptographic Street Poets (rappers) and BBoying by Zorinkima Chhunthang. Other attraction of the event was the BBoying challenge where the groups (about 17 dancers) battled against each other through amazing dance steps. The Super D Race included a 2kms downhill ride through rough terrains, 10 jumps and 18 dangerous corners while the Freestyle bmx challenge included flatland tricks. xBhp Meghalaya therefore thanks its xBhp members, supporters, sponsors and well wishers namely Voltage Entertainment, Knack Movement, Core Elements, San Shnong Youth Welfare Organisation, BSA Hercules, Rapsang Group of Industries, The Eee Cee Hotel, XSV Adventures, Tango Resto Lounge, Mordani Outlet, Yamaha Melody, Mehra Store, EMRI 108, Eastern Panorama, Meghalaya Times, Free Rider Mountain Bike Magazine, Media Plus and Meghalaya Daily The winners according to categories are shown below: Winner Names in order of First, Second & Third Super D Race MTB (Junior) Kevin Logan Kharlukhi , Hakidabit Thangkhiew , Brandon Kharkongor Super D Race MTB (Senior) Gregory A.
