A different POV.

Searched Oxford dictionary on a whim. There is actually no word called "superbiker".

its not that hard to distinguish. just look at the back wheel of the big cc bike and it will tell you the entire story.

No chicken strips = rider

massive chicken strips = poser . most people ive seen ride big bikes in india fall in the second category

Its not his ride, but the way he rides, the passion in his heart, his love for his bike, his commitment to riding, and at last, the respect he has for the entity called 'Biking'.
Its not actually 'Superbik-er', its 'Super-Biker'.

the above two posts sum it up. But then to each his own. If a faired superbike owner has chicken stripes i pray to lord that he is in a learning phase.

With all due respect, why try to define a biker/superbiker?
A guy who owns a litre bike may take it for a 5 min spin only, but none of us can put a number/quantify the pleasure that it gives him.
One might find fulfillment in stunting on a big bike, while another would find it totally unacceptable. Some might take it to the Rohtang pass, while some only upto the next roundabout. Its still the same smile plastered on their faces.

Default Biker is a Biker

As far as you ride safe and following traffic rules; how does it matter what bike you have and what you do with it?? It's an individuals bike and he can decide what he needs to do with it...What do you expect John to ride his bike to your home everyday and convince you that he's a superbiker or biker. Well I'm not his fan nor do I know how he treats people. But how does it matter to me for what he uses his bike for...whenever he's on two wheels; he's a rider...doesn't matter. Keep It Simple Silly.

I ride my bike everyday to work and on weekends to; does everyone on xbhp who own's a superbike do it?? Just coz I ride everyday; you'll classify me a biker or superbiker?

Well I took loan to realize my dream to buy a big bike; how does it show how rich or poor I am. It's my vehicle I'll use it show off to a few girls near a collage; i'll go on long rides to hills. Why should I justify what I do; as far as I'm following safety norms and traffic rules

Yes, just coz one has money abusing other bikers on roads or trying to take risks for a show off is not right. As you might put others life at risk, trying to do so.
