Default Help with Xtreme disc brakes

Hi guys,

I have been having a lot of problem with the disc brake of my bike for the last few days. Sometimes when i go at a speed above 60kmph, there is some sort of noise coming from the brakes. Something like the brake is holding on to the tyre. I have to reduce the speed to less than 30 to stop this noise. It becomes really unbearable at times. I went to an authorised service centre and he said that it was because of dust getting settled in the brakes and he cleaned it. It was fine for the last 2 days but today morning i noticed the same thing again. Iam still trying to figure out what the problem might be. Please help me out if anyone of you had previously faced the same problem.

Note : As i said, its not always that i get the noise. Just sometimes.

There is a possibility that you have worn out your brakes and the metal holder is coming in contact with the disc, scratching it lightly thus making noise.

I forgot to add that this bike is around a year and half old and has completed 14,000 kms on the odo so far.

Looks like the brake pads are worn out. Check them!
