Guy, I changed my Apache RTR's tyres to these ones

My Dimensions :
Front tyre dimensions: 90/90-17
Rear tyre dimensions: 100/80-18


TYRES
Front: Ceat Secura Zoom 3.00-17 50 P (Tubed- i wasnt able to get tubeless ones fitted, tried many)
Rear : Ceat Vertigo Sport 100/90-18 56 P (TUBELESS)


Maybe i got fooled as dimensions are kinda different or whatever.. i was in kinda hurry that time.. too much of load for the day.. wanted MRF but wasnt able to find em anywhere, as all of the showrooms just said a NO for my rim size...

as for the pics of the tyres i got, am attaching em..













Now my prob regarding this is, i changed them yesterday, didnt got time to check the leaning and grip on all types of terrain, the bike kinda seems too much swinging now.. i mean, the grip's really better than stock, but even a bit of swing, and it kinda just rushes for it.. havent seen for leaning... but was my option really a good one over the stock i had, will i be able to lean much, coz i didnt tried it much, dont know why coz of a fear in my mind of slipping over...




@mods : Please dont merge this thread into existing one, i could have find the information by going through tyres thread, but thats a really big thread, going through 186 pages, seriously wasnt possible for me...

If my memory serves me right, the verigo sport 100/90 -18 is not tubeless; 100/90 - 17 is. So are you running the tubed vertigo as tubeless?

Nope, I double checked from the guy, its tubeless, and infact i have seen the fitting process of the tyre, no tubes included, and i bet it wont be possible for a tubeless tyre to be fitted without a tube, right? ( i dont knw much about it, but i can bet, there's no tube..)

@Freakout4321 : If its tubeless, it would be mentioned in the tyre itself.. Check it out..
And regarding your query.. Obviously a new tyre will be more rounded that an old weared out one and it results in more flickability

Its mentioned nowhere on tyre that its tubeless, but i can guarantee that there's no tube inside... can it be that tubed tyres be fitted tubeless???

@Freakout4321 : I have a Vertigo sport 120/80 - 17 tubeless and my friend has a Vertigo sport 120/80 - 18 tubeless.. Both have tubeless mentioned in it .. So check out.. Oh ya a tubed tyre can be fitted as tubeless.. But I really dont advice you to do so, especially if its ceat

Its safe to lean.. You will get used to the tyre very soon my friend and understand the limits of it too..

Just called the dealer i went to, he said, they surely are tubeless, and as for written part, the batch they recieved from company were tubeless, and thats what they put in... he said something about coating and the dye stuff... i still insisted on why its not written tubeless, he said if any fault comes out, he will replace it within 10 days from today...
Damn.. am confused...

Can it be that they manufactured tubeless tyres, and didnt put tubeless written.. :|

the tyres you've got are good enough for your leaning or on and off road use.

The Ceat Vertigo tube type have nothing mentioned on them whereas the tubeless tyres have "tubeless" written on them. So, I expect tubeless tyres to have it mentioned on the side wall. When I checked about 5 months back the 100/80 x 18 was a tube type tyre. You better double check with your dealer again.

As for using a this tyre without a tube, the side walls would not be strong enough and the inner membrane layer would be missing - it possibly won't be able to seal a puncture well. Please get a tube in it. May be the Uni's Tuff-up tube can be of some help here.

I reiterate. The tyre you are using is NOT tubeless my friend. Ceat Vertigo Tubless is for the 17 inch radial only, in the 100/90 dimension. And moreover like the others have mentioned, "Tubeless" should be written on the sidewall.

I suggest you hold both the tubed and the tubeless tyres and feel the difference in the sidewall. There is a substantial difference! The only tubed tyres which have been used successfully as tubeless are the siracs (as per my knowledge).

Again, there is a possiblity that Ceat might have introduced a new variety of the vertigos..
