Question unicorn fuel cap

Hi,
I have a 2007 Honda Unicorn bike. Till now I was giving it for
service in the Haiku Honda, domlur for the servicing. Since I went
abroad for more than 6 months, after coming I came it for service to a
mechanic near my house. He made everything ok and brought the bike
into good condition.
But after sometime, one day while riding, the petrol tank went
empty. There was no reserve indication before that. I had to push the
bike to the nearest petrol bunk, which was around 1km..
I explained the problem to the mechanic and he checked the fuel cap
and said that it has some pbm and has to be changed. I told him that
it was ok before, and the answer is "it happens"..:P
Did anyone face this problem...? How much does a fuel cap cost for
the unicorn bike..

Thanks

The fuel cap generally has a breather hole, that might get clogged over time, but that should not cause you to run out of fuel.

Are you sure you are not talkin about the fuel T??? the fuel point below the tank from where fuel goes into the carburetor and you can select main, reserve or switch off the fuel flow???
