Smile Adjustments for new P220

heya..
just a month-old owner of a 2009 Pulsar 220 DTSi

i just feel i'm having some minor problems with my bike, which i guess should be really minor only , and can be adjusted easily.. just that i need all you people's help! (infact, these might not be even any real problems but as it is my first bike, so my queries might seem little n00by for you )

first of all, about the front tyre (which, if i'm not wrong, should revolve freely); when i rotate it manually (with my bike on the the center stand), it experiences some friction.. and a definite hissing-like sound. Is it really some problem? or the sound shouldn't be there?
one more thing to add is that whenever, during a ride, i pull the front disc lever, a can clearly hear a mild sound from the front end..
please tell me if something wrong!

now, the 2nd thing, about the rear end of the bike; i feel it too creates some unnecessary sound during riding. (i think it might be because of a tight chain, but again, i might be completely wrong for i'm completely new to riding my own bike)..
or maybe it's just the normal sound of the chain (which echoes good enough to be properly heard when there's some wall or reflecting plane, parallel to the bike, when riding near it)
this particular sound is sort of, like when there is some polythene bag or packet is touching the tyre.. maybe i can't explain it

looking forward for a quick reply

regards

I really don't understand about ur byk's rear end but the sound which u r talking about the front tyre can probably be the disc pads problem........

i too have started feeling that the rear-end sound which i explained might be the normal sound of a pulsar

and about the front discs, how can it be adjusted?
my first service is done.. my meter reads around 1200kms now.. (the 2nd service is after 2k i guess)

but the problem is that even when i don't press the brake lever and just rotate the front tyre (when on stand), some sound comes out of it..

Red face brake pads

dude,

when u rotate ur front wheel, does it rotate freely????
if not then check the disk pads, i think they might be jammed or must not be having free movement, also if not the disc pads then also chk the ball bearings.

They sound from the rear is the noise made by the chain.keep it clean and lubed and ignore the sound. The sound from disc brakes is pretty common. As long as the wheel rotates without much effort when rotated by hand while bike is on the center stand everythings fine. Dont worry and enjoy your ride.

thanks!
please give me some more tips on lubricating the bike
the particular lub mentioned in the manual.. some SAE 90 oil or OKS 450/451 (spray)..
and also mentioned to apply lub after every 500kms
how costly are these? particularly that OKS 451 spray???
