Query title Edited and Approved.

That 'warning' light serves two purposes mainly:

1. Indicating that the fuel is "low".
2. Rev limit light.

Thanks Aryan for advising. even it came first thing in my mind that it may be because of lowering down of petrol level to reserve.. but could you mind to explain what is your point 2 means..

Once you have used all the power in that particular gear and any more amount of revving won't be very healthy(in noob terms), this aspect holds true when the light glows and goes off again,

continuous on-- fuel low

Thanks Sheel, got your point.. and its continuous in On position but goes off too very often...so guess this is the low-fuel indication.. got worried as couldnt find its explanation in the bikes booklet where all part & there identification is explained..

Red light flashes for 2 reasons as stated by Aryan.

(1) Low Fuel - In this case it's will continuously be lit up, and may go and come again, due to the error in accuracy of fuel meter.

(2) Over Rev - As you hit 9K RPM (or where you have the redline in your Tacho) it starts flashing.

I first saw it when I took a Pulsar around 120+!!!

So that gives the reason, Over revving!
