Measure you mileage with a full tank - auto cut off, not with a litre. it will be more precise.Try it

Speed - Power all these Fuels are only for Name sake.....
They all only have a few % of these Additives to the Normal Fuel and sell it with these Brand Names which forces more Customer to buy it.....

Few Bunks often sell Ordinary Fuels as Speed or Power to earn more money...

Few also provide only less fuel i.e For 1 Litre of petrol they even reduce some 100 or 200ml

So i would advice you to fill the fuel in an Company owned Petrol Outlets or Fill it up with Shell Bunk and have a Check....

To be more Frank i've heard that FZ gives Economy rate of between
30 - 35 (Worst range)
35- 40 (Good Range)
your bike falls on Worst range - so i dont think so you can do anything to improve this --- May be you can increase it to some 2 or 3 But a drastic change cannot be Made in an FZ.....

Reason : Its not made for mileage

i dont completely agree with this..my dad owns a petroleum outlet..its an IOC RO...i tried both normal and xtra premium petrol..to b honest thr is a difference..i cud feel it..well mine may b a feeling..but a few years back overdrive magazine had tested all the petrol from al different companies..they rated on thr performance and for mileage..i dont remember xactly..but for optimum mileage and power xtra premium,,for power its speed petrol...then comes power petrol from HP....it goes lik tht..i dont remember properly...as for me i can trust my retail outlet fully..so i felt the difference...different octane numbers give different performance..thts all i know..plz giv mor info if any one has...

IMO, there're 2 reasons to see this working out positive for you.
1. Your dad owns the outlet, so naturally no way they could cheat
2. Its Kerala, atleast some kind of respect is still left & people still follow few rules.

Come visit Chennai & you'll know what we mean. There were times when the petrol pump used to sell only premium fuels & say upright on face that they don't have ordinary fuel. The price per litre would still say the price of ordinary petrol. If you question, they would say, all the tanks are connected & they're controlled through valves. In most of my gas fills in Kerala, they take away their hands from the gun once the fuel starts flowing, here in Chennai, unless you're outside the car & keep watching them, this will never happen.

Last month when I was filling at Salem, I saw 3 to 4 boys (not sure if they've completed 10th), fighting verbally among themselves as to who will fill in the gas in front of me. Finally I'd to ask them, if I need time to decide who's gonna fill & by the time I open up the door & reach the rear of my car, this guy has already filled in 2.6 lts not showing me a zero count. Upon asking, they give a reason that the pumps are capable of filling 100 lts per minute & hence the 2.6 was fast. Is this true?
