Still no answer..
I did a little DYI and screwed it up a little..anyways got that fixed but the damn carb is still not behaving as it should....
Shame that even the authorised HH service center guys can't do nuts about this.Am complaining to HH everyday to take out my fustration and hope this will bring some solution....

I still have all my doubts on the TPS and reading all i can understand to fix it...
Any luck and i will update here first...

Anyways i have ruled out that this is a carb problem. Its got nothing to do with that. The TPS is a complete unit. The problem is now getting serious and 2 new conclusions are:
> it could be due to the chain tensioner.
>it could be due to the valves.

The HH service station sucks (Seghal Automobiles,Faridabad) and should be closed. Its because of people like this that a product gets a bad name.Horrible service....

hey mate last week i met one good mech and manage sort out ma problem to some great extent, it was a faulty Air-screw fittings the screw was not fitting the hole properly n air was escaping threw the hole, with the help of some adhesives we manage to stop the escape of air, now the bike doesn't stall and the rpm is almost normal. so before doing anything with yr chain tensioner and valves have a look at your air-screw may your screw will fit fine in the hole but make sure the air is not escaping threw it.... best of luck

hi bro problems can happen in any of these machines and i wont blame ma bike for any of the things happened because it was not an inherited one,but was the mistake of HH SVC guys(some untrained hand)

So if you like Karizma go for it, its a good bike with some great touring ability and still has that incredible look and some nice performance figures too though maintenance cost is a bit high compare to rivals but the long term maintenance figure is really low.

One thing i can advise you is never Believe any mech 100% may they have 10 or 20 or 50 years experience with bikes and same thing with the HH SVC i was completely taken away from ma real issues by a HH SVC guy who's having some 17 years experience with HH

Keep your bike your own as much as possible try to avoid others using it or let others to use it only in presence of you even it s a SVC guy

If you are a beginner then find time to learn all technical aspects of the bike learn how NOT to use a bike than how to use it.

XBHP is a very good site where you can find a lot of experts and one can learn a lot of things from here, there is an owner ship experience thread where you can share and read issues related to karizma

and before gonna buy one do test ride on P220, R15 and ZMR(hope you did it with Karizma r) as i said before never go and buy one because of someones suggestion,...........

BEST OF LUCK BRO......

Question

hi guys as i mentioned in the beginning of this thread, ma bike was showing some weired behavior and with the help of some mates i managed to sort it out to some great extent but still its a night mare for me and as suggested by many mech who inspected the carb, for the ultimate relief from the prob,i should change the entire carb

The ZMA carb coast around 5500+rs n before going for that purchase i would like to know few things from you guys

Recently i heard that there are carbs from other manufacturers(mikuni and all) which can be used in karizma Is this statement is true? If so then which is the best carb that will give some good performance, i can compromise on the figuers but i want my bike to perform well.... pls help

My guess is that your Choke is on....and or jammed open..Set the choke lever to closed position by pushing it away from you . If problem still persists take it to the A.S.S. and get it corrected there.
At A.S.S ask them to inspect the free movement of choke cable ,and adjust for 10mm free play . Also ensure that the choke on the carburetor remains closed, when the lever is returned to rest position.
