Could you please explain. I mean,
1) is that a typo?
2) is it done at the bike service center, or at a wheel shop?
3) an general idea of what is done?

Thanx.

Its your rear wheel misaligned. Adjust the rear wheel alignment and set the both swing arm scale mark equal both side. If the bike is pulling at the right side that means the left side swing arm chain adjuster nut need to tight.
do the service center guys do this?
i have been to two bajaj service centers. this is what they had to say:
1)Since, dust has not collected near nitrox, my rear shocks are ok and i need to replace tyres. I did that since they were due anyway. same problem.
2)TRY fork out. No one is able to pin point the cause.

Never came across any shop doing this.
Have you personally or any of your friends done this? Any improvement?

For wheel truing, pls check - Park Tool Website & replace the bicycle wheels with motorcycle wheels; basically procedure is the same.

From what i read on that site, Truing is for spoked wheels and not for alloys. The original poster has a P150 UG3.

Hahaha, if its alloys, then forget the truing part; check on the forks as I told before.

OT - The truing guy I've here, mends alloy wheels

Although, I did purchase a new set of tyres some 1000 kms back, it has happened on old tyres as well.
I havent realligned my wheels as yet, all the shops I came across have said it is not possible to reallign tyres.
new tyres are good as earlier there was handle wobble which has disappeared. THIS MEANS THE NEW TYRES THAT I RECEIVED WERE DEFECTED AND I RODE 26k KMS CURSING BAJAJ.

Most probable is faulty wheel alignment as already mentioned by someone. Faulty wheel alignment can happen when wheels are out of alignment in relation to chassis + rear + front wheels. It can be any one of these.

1. Most common ones will be rear wheel out of alignment due to change in tyre and wheel not properly aligned while putting back. Meaning rear wheel is pointing right or left like this "/" or "\". Small problem.

2. Front wheel out of alignment due to faulty forks. Bigger problem.

When bike is viewed from front. A normal bike forks and front tyres should be perfectly perpendicular to chassis + body + handlebars like this
..................
....---o---....
........||.......
..................

bent fork can make it look like this. Note: it can be very slight and may not be noticiable by naked eye.
..................
....---o---....
........\\.......
..................

or both forks are not running down parallel to each other like when you are walking, one leg is forward to the other, this can also cause handlebars and tyres to point in different direction.

3. Bent chassis. Unlikely unless had serious fall. Serious problem.

Though there can be other causes as well. Hopefully your problem is the first one

Default Similar problem

hey biker buddies...
i own a royal enfield thunderbird 2007
and currently i m also facing a similar problem.
About 8 months back i met with an accident and since then i have felt this wobbling in the rear part of my bike. After visiting a few mechanics i came to know that the bearing of the rear wheel had to be adjusted and the guy did it and the bike started running straighter(this was about a month back). But its been a couple of days and now i have started feeling a certain discomfort while riding. If i take both my hands off the handlebar, the bike starts moving towards the left.

What could be the real problem???
plz help guys
