what is the purpose here??
 There are hundreds if not thousands of places to visit in Maharashtra each with its unique structure,roads,people,flora & fauna. Depending on time ofcourse any 7-8 days trip is sufficient to cover atleast one part considerably... The poll only mentions west & spidy has added partly central... & yeah I haven't been to all places namely chandrapur,gadchiroli ,ashti & allapali area...

Thick dense forests, long ghats & a wild life reserve. You'll find Weed growth in many parts of the forests, fresh n untouched  . Dunno about the distance from Mumbai, maybe around 700 kms.

PLEASE visit bheemashnkar temple,
the rainy season is the most suitable time. PUNE-NASHIKROAD-MANCHR-BHEEMASHANKR. enjoy.. if u love 2 ride ghats, try KHAMBATAKI ghat, towards satara 60kms frm pune. it's one way route, good road... |

There are lots of places U must visit in rains... Closest to Mumbai are Mumbai - Khandala - Lonavla - Amby valley - Mumbai (Tiotal Mileage to & fro max 250kms) Second one is Malshej Ghat... The most liked place during rains...with lots of waterfalls by road side... The To & fro mileage is around 300 kms... There are many more... But these 2 are a must
