Default engine oil burning

hi, friends
i have pulsar 150dtsi 5 yrs old(27718kms)..
i got my bike's service done and i've put gulf engine oil ,
now a days whenever i run my bike above 60km/h for 2-4 kms....engine gets very much hot like it will burn my legs and i can smell of burning oil.... what can i do to solve this problem?????? plz help me

That happens when your engine is getting more air and less fuel relatively. It causes engine to run hotter & less fuel means less lubrication inside the engine. that too leads to overheating.

Solution is simple. Get the air screw adjusted. you can do it yourself or ask a local mechanic to do it.

Did you check the engine oil level.If its below normal then your Pulsar piston rings are gone you need to replace them but if you replace the rings your pulsar will not have enough compression (after 5k kms) so its better to replace both piston and rings.

engine oil level is all ok.... in fact i've always maintained a proper oil level....
i'll try to tune carb first..if problem still persists then i'll have to change piston and rings...

Dude the oil burning smell is very much normal for Gulf. I had this same issue. The oil itself produces burning smell. And check as other said.
