Carburetors will be a passe in quite some time.But, I have a query about carburetors.If using a multi-cylinder engine is it better to use one big carb or multiple carbs?the prorities are cost,ease of tunning and performance.

it all depends on the design and the desired power output from the engine. You have your cars running 3 cylinder and 4 cylinder engines running a single carburettor, and some bigger engines as well, and then for performance you have 4 cylinder or 6 or even 8 cylinder engines running one carburettor each.

The issue is also to tune the carburettor and make sure that all the carburettors are working in synchronisation, else one will feed more fuel than the other, causing a mismatch in the power strokes, again causing vibrations, heat localisation etc.
