I am not that much used to Pulsar, still my thought is "You have mentioned that the engine heats up when you do for 15 mins, then the displays are working properly why bother about the display problem?

This must be due to a wrong Timing set.

Have you changed any timing chain or tensioner, if yes then must be some timing wheels misplaced. Just try to check the timing of the bike in the service centre (as they have good equipment for the process) Try and update..

Though I'm also not used to Pulsar like Satheesh, it would be better to know if you feel that the engine ACTUALLY overheats. Does the manual say that the lamp glows after a particular temperature threshold is reached?

Hey Shravan,

I have the same Model P200, there are some cases of overheating, but i think its sometime due to improper oil change like lower grade and sometimes if you clutch plates are worn out.
Also in general, p200 models heats up more as compared to other normal engines due to high capacity, and if you are coming from honda so you'll feel it bit hot. STILL, if it seems way to hot, get it checked from service centre for the above suggestions.

I am noticing the same issues on my bike, an going to get i checked tomorrow. It seems clutch plates as of now, lets see wat the service guys say. ALSO check if the air bubbles are removed from oil cooler connector pipe. This you can ensure buy checking the level of oil by starting the bike, as you will move the throttle, the level should fall a bit an fluctuate, as oil circulates through the oil-cooler. If its not doing it means the oil is not getting cooled an since they keep the level of oil bit high it makes the bike rev bit low ( my thoughts ). SO try to get that ar bubbles removed, the guys do it by opening a screw, with bike started, and it open for few seconds, the oil starts coming out and its close it then. It sorted out my problem long back... hope it can help.

But indicators blinking, Get it checked.

I don't think there is any display problem. If the engine is actually getting overheated - these indicators should flash. What looks like is that you cooling system is not working properly and there can be numerous reasons for that. I think you should take it to service center at the earliest and check it out. Please note, driving when engine is overheated and result in engine seize and is not advisable.

hi shrawan,
We see u got a set of problems there, even i face these issues occasionally. As u have mentioned the service guy saying the heating is normal then its definitely the sensor issue, also could be the wiring......(Leave it as it is they are not accurate or True)
As for the air filter warning, make sure the filter is cleaned or whole element is changed(every 10,000kms). If still the filter warning flashes,
remove the sensor from the air box (fitted with 2 screws right behind the bottom of filter box) clean it and wipe thoroughly- the glass kind face of the sensor.
Mine flashes occasionally even when i have completely removed the sensor.(Some wiring issue)
About that horn, again its the wiring, u have reported like battery is active even when Key turned off - Check the Relay.....
I kind of like those stupid warnings flashing on the LCD....people are like "Man this is one advanced and sophisticated Bike"

Cheers!!! happy biking....
