Default [Help]: Better clip on handlebars for Pulsar 220

hey guys,

i bought a pulsar 220 dtsi in november 2009. like the bike a lot.
but i hate its handlebars. they get loose often. till now, i have had to tighten them thrice.

mechanics say that its a common problem with all pulsars.

what i want to do is, replace them with better ones. has anyone done it?

can it be done?

Thanks

Neil

I heard only P220S in the first lot had this problem. But common in all pulsars? Are you sure bro?

Mine P135LS did 532kms in last 15 days, but never felt this problem.

I am sure it can be done!!

But you will have to be catious if you buy a clip on from outside.
Because most of these aftermarket clipons which are in the range of 500 - 600 RS are pieces of crap. Their balance is most of the times not right and sometimes even the alignment of the both sides become a problem. I have faced it. So if buying from outside try to get them from a better shop.

Yes rachit is right!
Aftermarket clip ons are far worse, They tend to come off too when offroading. This has happened with a friend of mine. But why don't you try to change the bolts to newer ones and see if these come loose also?
Just replace the allen head bolts and all the other bolts related to the clip ons.
