@TheNoobGeek : U dont have to worry about the roads, its fantastic Since get the bike in the best possible mechanical condition, That's 3/4 job done.Spare cables, engine oils, lots of water,A good rain gear. Make sure that your wifey has the capacity to shout at you for about 6 hrs at a stretch, The roads are silky smooth and you need something to hit your ears for a long time.Just kiddin buddy.Take care Ride safe

outstanding road - don't have to think about it. Take the Krishnagiri - Hosur Road - just outstanding... Have done 5 trips in last three months...

Just take sufficient breaks - my a$$ gets numb after an hour - so religiously take a break when I reach 1 hr... else silken road - with enough places to stop for food as well as fuel...

Try taking early mornings - to avoid truck traffic jams en route.. best time to start from chennai would be 4 to 4.30 - can be at Textile Board Circle by 9.30 with three stops very comfy...

Do enjoy the ride... would be great!!! Do post your ride pics once done!!! Cheers

Take the vellore-krishnagiri-hosur route. This is 45kms more compared to the chitoor-palmaner-old madras route but the roads are wide, 4 lane and very smooth. Awesome roads i must say. Just keep an eye out for vehicles heading towards you in the wrong lane/direction. Also look out for gap's in the railings on the median - people cross the road without looking and it can be quite a handful to stop in time or avoid them.

Other than that, take a nice camera along. The landscape is awesome and you'll enjoy driving. you can take a lot of pics of the picturesque scenery on the way.

Hi, I have done Bangalore-Chennai-Bangalore almost 6 times (I think more than that). The roads are fabulous. Its just one straight road from Porur. There are hundreds of petrol bunks enroute.
I would suggest you to leave at 4:00 in the morning, because at this time, there won't be Truck traffic and Bus traffic.
Carry water with you and some munchies. There's a nice Veg restaurant @ Vellore Junction and a nice Adayar Ananda Bhavan in between Krishnagiri and Hosur. there's a coffee day too. Be Careful near hosur because the traffic is chaotic at all times (since the bus stand is on the Highway).
Watch out for pedestrians crossing here and there.

Take this route which all suggest Chennai-Porur-Sriperumbudur-Vellore-Ambur-Krishnagiri-Hosur-Bangalore

            Ride safe and have fun.
