Unhappy Pulsar ug3 150cc dashboard problem

guys ., some fellow Banged hard on my dashboard when i kept in a common parking area , and the top layer plate got a crack , now for past 3 days it was raining in my place , and everyday morning i see water droplets get accumulated inside it.. and only when the water dries i can see the speed ... otherwise its not visible... but once the water gets dried , everything is normal ...

Now , is there any way to replace the top layer alone or should i change the entire dashboard (which i can't) ??

For now put cello tape @ cracks which helped a bit , not entirely ....Its very embarrasing to cover the entire dash with a plastic cover , spoiling the look of the bike when its parked .....

Also my friend advised me to put a scratch gaurd (as we put for mobile phone displays) , well will that stop the water to enter into the dash ??

Pls help ...

Check up with any bajaj service center. You should get the casing seperately without having to change the entire unit. For now cover it with a plastic bag, use tape where required. Since the speedo is working and its raining it would be wise not to think too much about looks...

Try the local scrap yards..you may get the whole speedo at dirt cheap price.

i don't think bajaj sells just the outer shell of the digital speedo console.

so ur options are...

- replace it now

- cover it up till the rains stop (u won't have issues with water/moisture except when u wash the bike.)

- buy a scrapped/faulty speedo console and replace the outer shell.

.
