Can you please let me know whether i can get this mod done. Is it worth it? what all parts will be needed and their prices. I looked around in the forum and found that this mod renders the kick rod useless and also the bracket of the existing exhaust would have nothing to hold onto if the new rearsets are installed. How to go about with this problem and the kick rod problem?

How is the brake pedal fixed with the new rearsets? The brake lever position is not even close to the P200/180's brake lever. The gear lever can have the same connected link setup as in P200/180 but what about the brakes? How does that work?

Can you also share some pics of your motorcycle with the new rearsets and how you worked around these problems.

Thanks a lot in advance
Rearsets.....FINALLY

this is where you will find all the information regarding the said mod.

I do not know why anybody hasn't pointed out something so long.........a very small but ugly glitch you have with the Karizma 125 mainjet set-up.

Friend, are you aware that 125 main-jet of Karizma is actually smaller than the 117 mainjet of Pulsar180 Mikuni BS29 carb ??????

Karizma do not use Mikuni but Keihen carb. The jet size numbers for Mikuni and Keihen are differently labeled.

The Keihen 125 main-jet size actually corresponds, Mikuni 112 main jet size.
So you are running a smaller main jet than your stock main jet which is why it has caused loss in acceleration in almost all rev ranges above low rpms where it is controlled by stock Pilot jet.

If you plan on using Stock set-up for ur Pulsar 180, please use 117 stock main jet.
If you plan to use KN air-filter, I would suggest going for RTR180 main jet of 124 and you would be impressed.
Both RTR180 and Pulsar 180 uses Mikuni BS29 carbs yet with different main-jets to balance the stock AFR.

KN airfilter increases a bit of air-flow in high rpms....so you can induce a bit more fuel to it.

With the Karizma's mainjet and KN air-filter you were actually going lean in high rpms.
With stock air-filter and Karizma mainjet........you are still running lean and getting that awesome 56kmpl from a 180cc DTSi engine
Moreover lean mixture is robbing you off the 0-60 timing, which for a Pulsar 180 DTSi is generally around 4.70secs.A flooding richer mixture would have kept this right but have killed the 0-100 with hiccups.

I hope this helps.

Thank you MACH50!
I've been constantly asking people to get Mikuni jets only and not the Keihin jets from the ZMA. But there are many people here reporting good results from the ZMA jet.

It would do good to those carbs whose Mikuni main-jets are below 110 or equal to 110 size, after upjetting and allowing more air.

Pulsar 180 DTSI already runs 117 Mikuni Main-jet, I do not know how people get better performance after down-jetting(using ZMA mainjet) along with KN air-filter.

Karizma size upjet would do good to only Pulsar 150 or Pulsar135 after more air-induction.

A next jet-size for Pulsar180DTSI has to be the RTR180 mainjet.

RTR180 mainjet is very big...........124 size by Mikuni standards. Try it out for better results.

A scientifically refined product would definitely fare better than a hammered out one.

Default Advice me for a small step into lighting..

how should i make both beam lights working at a time while switching to high beam mode, and just low beam on low beam mode...
Please provide me with a circuit for the same... will there be any drawbacks???
& suggest me a better bulb option.

This is my situation...
I have a daily night ride of 30kms which includes village roads and highways.. where heavy vehicles are alwayz there to give company, with their high beams and dusts. and a major part of the highway have no road lighting.. uneven wrinkled & pothholed roads at occur at the other hand..
so i have to ride with alwayz one hand on my helmet windshields...

So am looking for a not a bad option (low finance) that can atleast make me say 'ok' when i ride with my film coated windsheild glass on my helmet closed.
