Hello Experts,
My Pulsar150 has already completed 46K, it is due for her next service. I am adviced by couple of freinds to use synthetic oil as ODO already showing 46K+. I am seeking your advice, what should be the things I should consider during her next service. I am not looking for any MODs but I want to keep her running without any hassle. Thanks, GMittal |

Airfilter, Spark Plugs need to be replaced. Check out Shell, Motul, or Mobil for the oils. Mineral, SS or FS, depends on choice and expert comments.
Check the wheel bearings, chain-sprocket, clutch plates, clutch cable, disk kit (pads, disk, fluid, cable), rear drum brake liner and rubber. Replace them if required. Get the carburettor cleaned by an experienced and good mechanic.

1. There is a private service center exactly opposite of Indian Oil bunk on the road to Swaraj Garden. 2. Bajaj Service center( cant comment on their ability) near vishal nagar on your way to Hinjewadi. 3. Castrol Bike Zone Hinjewadi. I would suggest to stick to stock stuff. If you really want do some mods you can go for the K&N filters, NGK platinum plugs, Motul or Shell or Castrol power one racing oil if you really want to go full synthetic.

Having tried full synthetic oil in my bike, i can say that pulsar doesn't like FS. For some reason, it just drinks way too much oil when it is FS. Same is the issue with SS but the oil drinking is much lower so bike lasts much longer. Mineral oil is the best though I love the performance of the bike on Semi synthetic.
Things you can check usually: Chain and sprocket wear and tear - when was the last time you changed it? Spark plugs Battery cone set clutch plates All the above obviously depends on whether either of them have been changed or serviced before. |

I dropped the idea of FS and SS, I will continue to use Mineral Oil. Clutch Plate, Disc Pads changed during last service. |
