You may not be able to check this on your own. You have to consult some bike doctor. For both the cases the pickup will be little less than the it is required.

Also in the morning time first few kicks will be almost like free without pressure. This is the general symptoms of head valve issue. Another thing you can check is if there is a block pack is leak and if there is a oil in between head and piston block.

Hey Sujeet,

I have checked the bike throughly but there seem to be no oil leak issues, so i guess its the valves . If suppose they are gone, how much would be the cost to get the new ones and what should i keep in mind before replacing them? do i need to get a new cylinder head or just the valves will do? Also if i am replacing the valves what else would be good to replace at this point?

Thanks.

You dont have to chagne the head. Some time if the valve is distress then it cuts the head what you need to do is get the head repaired by some good lathe wala and change the valves it should not cost you more than 2500/- including labour.

Since you will open the head tell the mechanic to open the piston block and see if there is marks of the piston if every thing is fine you need not change the anything other than valve.

If you are from mumbai there are two good mechanic one is in chembur(Mallik) and one is in Juhu (antony).

Hi Guys,

Opening up a old thread.
My RE has developed a weird problem. Last week when i checked the air filter, i was shocked to see that it was almost black in color, soaking the engine oil. The same was the case with the air filter square box and the worst part is, the bike doesn't have any breather catch can .

The pipe starting from the crankcase breather system is ending just above the cluth case, above the chain. The entire clutch cover is spilled with engine oil and the air filter is also sucking this oil.

What could be the possible reason for so much of the oil coming from the crankcase breather and what could be the possible solution for this? . Please help.

Thanks.
