Smile Variations on Mileage issue (FZ16)

Hi guys ,
I'm Kumar from Hyd , I just had my FZ16 black and i'm happy with right now as it is givving 43Kmpl (250kms) but many of the users says it's mileage is degrading as going on..... can i get tips about how to maintain and how to ride in and out (like gear shifting and rpm maintenance)

This will help me very much if someone could help me through this ...............

Thank you

Not to worry as the mileage will increase after the first service. For getting the max mileage out of ur bike:-

1.Change gears at 4-5 rpm's occasional bursts to 8-9 will not affect much.
2.Get the air pressure of the tyres checked every week (if possible).
3.Get the servicing done at given intervals.
4.Check the engine oil level everyweek or in 2 weeks.
5.If u ride in a very dusty area, get the air filter cleaned every 750-1000 kms from a local mechanic.
6. Keep a check on the spark plug and get it cleaned when required

This should be enough for the bike to give max performance and mileage until and unless u carry some performance mods.

what kind of filter you are thinking of installing on your bike? as fare as fuel efficiency is concerned stick to the stock one it is good in what it does and if you are looking for performance increment of you bike go for a k&n with rejating but beware installing a third party air filter will decrease you fuel efficiency.

Get the air pressure of the tyres checked every week (if possible).for this buy foot pump it is worth the money.Because no one is going to fill air according to you without arguement.

welcum

and for the filter stick to the stock one...u shld change it to a k&n only if u are very sure about upjetting otherwise ur bike will suffer a lot in the long run and u may burn the valves of ur bike as i did by fitting it.

Nd imo fitting a aftermarket filter is almost useless until and unless u love the sound of it too much . It hardy gives a boost of 1 bhp tht too on upjetting and u will loose large figures on mileage
