Unhappy Problem with r15

I currently own a YAMAHA R15 bought in Nov 2008, till now it has clocked 15000 km. Now I am facing some problems in my bike as detailed below
1. My bike getting chocked & off if I ride below 4000 RPM. Above that it is normal, so has to raise acceleration & drive.
2. During idling it is not maintaining 1500 RPM & get’s off after sometime.
I have taken the bike to the nearest service station. On attending the bike the service engineer reported that the problem is in magneto coil. He recharged the coil and charged me around Rs.1700. But the next day problem continues.
Again taken to same service station & attended the problem. This time he checked all the electrical wiring & returned me the bike. He charged me Rs.200. But the problem continued while bringing the bike back home. Somehow I managed home back.
Next day on speaking back about the bike problem, he told - you got to replace the fuel injector which may cost around Rs.8000. He also told that these kind of failure happened in many bikes & the new version 2 comes with different model of fuel injector.
Kindly tell me whether the problem of chocking is because of injector failure? If so is YAMAHA having any plans to replace the injector for old version of R15 due to manufacturing defect?

Reset your tappets, normally this issue happens when the inlet valve's are set too tight.

WHat do you mean "recharged the coil" ?? Coils don't hold an electrical charge whatsoever so no question of recharging . So the question is what work the guy did for your first 1700 Rs ??!! This guy is taking you for a serious ride bro . Get rid of him/them asap. No such widespread manufacturing defects known in Yamaha R15 , the guy is trying to fleece you for more money .
The problem you describe sounds simple one like Ashwin says . Get a competent Yamaha service center to look into the bike thoroughly .

exactly.. looks like the service center is ripping you.
step1- goto another yamaha service center with thorough checkup.
step2- write a mail to yamaha telling the incident. I hope you get your 1700 back and good problem resolution for your bike..

ride on..

I had exactly the same problem with my R15.
Eventually i figured out that the spark plug was making a sound when the bike got off..(I got new spark plug a day before).
Then I opened the fairing re-installed the spark plug and tightened the plug cap.
I got no problem after that day .
