Careful with that leaking water tanker ahead

That water tanker ahead, trailing a stream of 'precious' water behind it. Treat the patch as you would the entire road during rain. Even a foot-wide trail of water is enough to cause you to skid and fall.

Post Bullet Electra UCE not going past 60 KMPH

I have a 2011 model Royal enfield electra. It has done about 4000 KMs. The issue I am facing off late is that the bike is not accelerating past 60 KMPH as per the speedo. I cleaned the air filter and that did not help.

Can anyone suggest on what could be wrong.

We did have such problems in Karizma, but they were solved by PSR, a reputed member of this site.

Are the clutch plates fine? Have the electronics been touched by mechanics as yet?

Kindly give a bigger background check so members can suggest well.

The mechanic says the clutch plates are fine. I don't feel any signs of slippage etc. The other items with the motorcyle were not fiddled with in any manner.

On open roads I open out the throttle and see that the bike races to 60-70 KMPH (per the speedo) and would'nt budge further. I feel no difference in speeds beyond that point and it looks like the speed has maxed out.

I tried to downshift and rev it a little and up shift ( like a car ) to see if the bike picks up speed. No it does not.
