  • Probelm with R15 v1 top speed

    Hi guys,

I m facing a strange problem with my bike top speed. Earlier I could easily cruze @ 120kmph daily while riding . but now the bike just resists to go beyond 110kmph .. even if there is a freeway. The rpm meter just halts at 9k rpm and speed remains the same for a long time..

I recently have serviced my bike from YAMAHA Factory Shop and got my sprocket and chain replaced.. cud this cause issue?

    pls help guys!!!

Check clogging in air filter, chain slack/sprockets then finally clutch plates.

Check the drive chain slack. It should be between 20 to 40mm.

Check you AFR ratio, fuel pump supply and the oil filter.

One more point I forgot to mention the bike works fine till 4th gear(I can easily reach 100).. the problem starts only on 5th gear.. the bike just kind of resists to go beyond 110 and rpm meter halts as well..

hope this helps to narrow down the causes..

I replaced the chain and the sprocket changed during last service. But, I hope the replaced one is same as the stock one
