  • SWINGARM Modification

    Hi
    I have a P150
    It has run 10k kms
As you all must be knowing it has a rectangular section swingarm.
My swingarm is damaged so i want to fit a new one, from the P180 preferably, which is an elliptical section one.
Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of elliptical vs rect ?
And is it a direct fit ?
Any other swingarm suggestions for P150 ?
FZ's swingarm can be fitted ?

unless an until you plan to do any further mods in the bike why not stick to the stock swingarm..

also pulsar 150 has a wheelbase of 1320 while 180 has that of 1350 so that clearly identifies the extra length.
in such case you might need a longer or a diffrent chain and also will affect the transmission losses.

how did it get damage ? 10k is to oless for a swing arm damage unless accident caused.

      warranty/insurance...

Just a slight damage but its affecting handling.
The rear end seems to wobble at potholes.
        Yes I know for P180 its 1345mm.
But for more i m thinking of fitting a rear disc on it with a 220 sa so thinking of this mod.
What about the FZ's swingarm ?
Will I have to go for a monoshock then ?

          Re: SWINGARM Modification

Monoshock is a tough mod.Handling and control will go for a toss.
Better try to get parts from 220 and try to mod it.That way you will get better wheel base, rear disc etc.
Try to get good second hand parts or else mod will cost you so much, its not worth it!
