Problem with p 180 engine - xBhp.com : The Global Indian Biking Community

My pulsar 180 classic has done only abt 23k but then also its engine never passes the polluntion check.

My mechanic at castrol service station says that the whole block with the piston needs to be changed.

Could any1 suggest me about any other alternative, as I planning to go to leh on it in the 1st week of oct 08.

any symptoms? any peculiar problem u are facing continuously?
and what do you mean by "engine never passes pollution check??"
see, it would be nice..if u could elaborate the things a bit..

By bike not passing the pollution check I meant that the bike's CO2 level is way beyond the required limit. There r no symptoms except for the smoking. So when I asked the mechanic said that the whole block needed to be changed. Is this really required.

And can any1 give me sme tips to be taken in mind b4 heading to leh.
