on the same track what about other places like UK, UAE, Germany, etc. will they allow me to run my bike on their land???

no if u are just driving thru then u dont need to pay customs or anything since ur not importing for permanent use or sale.

however u may need to take prior persmission. this comes in the form of CARNET rule which some more experianced people will explain indetail. they basically give u a couple of months time to use your vehicle i nthe country without any customs duties etc.

now finally of all the bikes in the world u wanna take a BULL to america. ull be seriously run over. best go to the states rent a bike and just cruise ur heart out.

another query from my side:

if i need to ride my bike in other states then i need to get an NoC right?
what is it?
and how do i get it done?
what would be the cost in different states?
what if i am caught without one?
what if i am only a tourer and i am staying only for a couple of days and moving on?
anybody???...

@rickyshhh: sorry for stealing your thread. thought i will put this here instead of a new thread...

No if you are a tourerI guess you can ride for 3 months in a indian state without a NOC if you are touring.Keep timestamped fuel reciepts with vehicle number before you travel and maybe on the way.if you ship the bike save the transport reciepts. They help in convincing the cops most of the times

its not just about states, i dream of touring the whole world one day on my bike, i.e. bull and yes I want to do it. Some places I might need to get it shipped around, but yes thats the part of it.

for this the problems in my mind are like:

1) getting permission for allowing my bike in each and every country.
2) biggest piece of the problems, getting sponsors
3) getting visa and all the legal formalities.
4) and definately, a like me, who can join me

and I know I'll face lots of problems, after all I am not living for........... just like that, I am living for my Dream.

My last tour was like some 3000 kms in 11 days covering manali - leh - srinagar - jammu - punjab and back to delhi.
I've been on the delhi - chd - manali - delhi circuit earlier also, in a solo ride.
And after doing all this, now i am all set for another venture to goa from delhi in dec'08, covering approx 5000km and places like agra, gwalior, shivpuri, nashik, pune, goa, mumbai, rajasthan, then back to delhi.
And for sure, before heading anywhere out from india, I'll be covering every region of India soon
