Default HELP:Petrol leak from my 180 ug3's carb!

Recently I saw mileage drop from 48-50 to 34-35!!!. I was just checking out my K&N filter, when i started to get the smell of petrol, i saw the small pipe like structure comin out of the carburetor spilling petrol out! i turned the petrol cork to off and t stopped. when i turned it on, te leak would start like water flowin out of a tap. My mech changed the overflow float in the carb, but the problem still persists!!

just changin the float wont always solve the problem..the float is just a hollow plastic thing...the pin that the float closes sometimes gets dirty or worn out...due to which petrol still manages to flow into the carb...
get your carb cleaned...and check if the rpoblem still persists..

Default RE:float ploblem

the float might be stuck.
when there is enough petrol in the float chamber, the float comes up and blocks the supply with a needle that has been mention earlier...check the needle and the lever/float protuberance that connects the float to the body for play gently..if stuck tap gently with the bottom end of a screwdriver/ something similar.
