Default Pulsar 150 DTSi starting issues

I am old member though an active one (my post count was in single digit I think), I tried login after few months and it seems that my ID doesn't exist hence had to create this new ID.

-----

I have a Apr 2006 model. I am not as bike savy (in terms of intricate knowledge about bikes) as you guys are.

1. The bike usually doesn't get started using kick start in the morning, I have to use electric start and that too after keeping the button pressed for 1-2 seconds and giving race.

2. I have to ride it in morning for 4-5 kms constantly to get it warmed, not only that during that period I have to keep throttling it otherwise the RPM falls below 1k and the engine shuts OFF. It is driving me crazy.

3. After it warms up many times the RPM shoots up to 4k and falls back to 1.5k in idle mode. It happens without me doing anything.

4. I tried adjusting the "spring knob" sort of thing which controls the RPM, it sorted out the initial problem i.e. when switched ON, the engine keeps steady at 1k RPM but after riding a while the RPM shoots beyond 2 in idle mode.

I am going to Bagga Link (Panchkuian Road, New Delhi) tomorrow for servicing. Please suggest me things that I should tell them. Thanks!

Get your carb cleaned and properly tuned. 1K RPM during idle is normal but not 2K.
