Default Help Me to Install a split seat on My FZ-16

Hello All Xbhpians,
I am Really sick of FZ's rear seat (my personal opinion)
I felt rear seat id too narrow for me and very uncomfortable for Mums,
and even for Boys,
in long rides, while sitting as pillion I felt I am sitting on a slope
So I decided to install a split seat as in P-220 and Stunner,

can anyone suggest me how to,
b'coz I live in a very Small town where i need to do almost 70% work on my own,
and have to explain it to the guy who can do it (First I need to find one )

Thanks In advance

not an easy task. If you are really serious about this, I guess you would need a few iterations before you get the right stuff.

Get foam from some not very old seats that people (mainly posers) discard.. or even car seats... trim that foam carefully to the size you need (set the dimensions before you start chopping off)... but the difficult part is to get a properly fitting PVC base that clips on to the frame... no idea about this...

Also, you may not want to screw your existing seat...

May be you should find out how much the original seat costs and if the PVC base is available separately!

thanks KP da,
an idea came in my mind,
can i do it without that PVC base,
mean by only using foam, and setting it on seat by stitching it on seat cover.
what say?

Do you mean that you want to add extra foam upon the existing seat and stitch a cover upon it??? try it as long as you don't de-face the stock seat...

While placing a new cover may be until you say it is final you might not want to stick or staple anything to the stock seat...

if you want a raised rear seat it can be done just by adding extra cushion in the rear part and then covering it

I am thinking for this solution,
b'coz I don't want to cut my seat to split it (one guy suggested mr that)
it would be safer and easier way to do
