Hi guyz i am new here,
read many topics and posts but min is da first 1.....
Frnz i hav modded ma bike, i have 150mm tyre at da rear mounted on 15" alloys and 120mm in front mounted on 16"s.....
Color of my bike is blue and alloys are painted copper golden as of new yamaha r1 and r6.......bike is lookin pretty cool but the problem is dat i have left the speed far behind......
On da stock tyres i was able to hit 140kmph easily but now i can only manage to get around 130kmph and lost da pikup tooooo.....
Guyz i need a real serious performence upgrade so as to get speed like b4......herad of k&n arf and ngk irdium plugs.....should i go for them?????
Are they suitable 4 ma r15?

go for K&N R-1100 and do upjetting .. that is .. change your main jet to 20 digits higher number jet .. and as you have changed tyre size .. you can do sprocketing work to get your top speed back

120 and 150 tyres on a R 15 .
what were you thinking ? I doubt your bike can reach even 120 .
Theres not much you can do to increase perf. of an R 15.


Dude R 15 is not a carb bike , it doesnt have any jets .

dude what in the world struck your mind to f@#* your bike like that??......i bet your bike doesnt even do 120kmph..leave apart 130.....plus you have been stressing your engine way too much....immediately revert back to the old stock tyres..though i feel the damage has already been done to the swing arms,forks and the performance.....Yamaha is speculated to be coming out with performnce upgrades soon..so hold your horses and look out for them...



thats the funniest thing i have ever heard about an R-15......upjetting,sprocketing and what not ...i would really request you not to give any wrong guidance to anybody..

BUDDY, 1STLY I WENT 4 FZ16 TYRES AND ALLOYS BUT MA FREIND HAD A LIITELE ACCIDENT WID HIS FZ AND THE ALLOYS WERE BENT......I THINK THEIR MATERIAL IS NOT SO GOOD SO CHANGD MA MIND AND WENT 4 THESE....HAVE LUK AT DA PIC...BIKE IS LOOKING COOL BUT ANY OTHER OPTION TO INCREASE SPEED AND PIKUP EXEPT 4 REPLACING TYRES COZ I DONT WANT 2!!!! THEY LUKIN PRETTY COOL....

MAXI, dude, in short, you have screwed up your R15's handling & performance. At least, don't touch the engine. As suggested, you may want to go with the performance upgrade that Yamaha is supposed to come up with.

information from varied sources indicates that they are working on it for sure... but then, details like what would be given out, how much it costs, whether it would be available for everyone or not, when it would be available, etc can only be speculated until there is an official announcement.
