  • HELP: How to get rid of misfiring on my TVS Fiero F2?

    Hi all,

My bike TVS fiero f2 misfires very frequently. This problem is seen almost from 2 years now. Shown it to many auth. centers, local mechanics, well almost all but this problem is not gone until now. Whats the exact reason of not vanishing this problem, mechanics do some adjustments and this problem kreeps up the very second day. Any help would be much useful.

    Thanks,
    Ramki.

HELP: How to get rid of misfiring on my TVS Fiero F2?
Push it off a cliff dude!

Jokes apart. Misfiring problems are mostly related to spark plugs[Gurus correct me if I'm wrong]I recently had a tough time with my p180 misfiring and whole lot of crap.

I took it to several moronic mechanics. Each one used to do some tinkering with some stuf and it ran fine for the moment. One even changed all the petrol and cleaned up the carb. Finally i got fed up and took my bike to the SS. Those guys just replaced the spark plugs and cleaned the connectors on the spark plug cables. Now the misfiring problem is gone and acceleration is like when the bike was new.

So u can borrow someone's working spark plug or even get a new one as it is cheap and try it.

UPDATE: I put 100 main jet, NGK CR7E spark plug and it solved the problem a little bit. but still the problem exists. After reducing the accelerator from 60 km/hr it still has misfiring. Any help?

        Thanks,
        Ramki.

have you also checked its air/fuel mix and co setting ? .maybe engine is too lean and also get carb cleaned and make sure fuel pipes arent clogged or bent

Like I told u in the other forum, just disconnect the SAI system. or upjet the pilot jet. Put a 15 instead of the stock 12.5 pilot.
Take the bike once to Zen and get the air screw position optimised. Nobody will be able to do that better.

My Fiero F2 also had the same problem. The SAI unit was replaced under warranty. It should mostly be the culprit&costs about Rs.670.
