Unhappy Question about "FREE" services of any manufacturer.

What is the general opinion about the free servicing that is generally done by the service centers ? Do they really do anything ? Not for my Yamaha they don't . It mostly seems to involve washing the bike and blowing air in various tubes around the carburetor.

And,what is your opinion about Castrol Bike Zone service center ?

Even i found or actually felt that the Yamaha SC did nothing... They wash the bike, change the oil thats about it i guess... Bike never felt better after a service... I mean whenever i used to service my rx at a local mech i could find that my bike felt better like smoother for instance after the service. This feeling i never got from the Yamaha SC when i gave my gladi for service there... I guess they have to many bikes to service and too lil personel or space... I'm not sure about other SC's but for Yamaha this is how it was..

Around two weeks back i went to Castrol Bike Zone, found it much better than the SC... First and foremost i could see work happening as i stayed there to see them service my bike... Atleast i know they are not mishandling my bike and are doing all the work i have paid for... I have heard a lot of bad reviews of Castrol Bike Zones on many sites but i felt that the place i went to was really nice... The work was well done... I guess as long as u can take time out and stay with your bike in the Castrol Bike Zone they are sure to do a good job as they know they are under your watch...

Hero honda after sales service sucks too.According to me Honda has the worst after sales service but i forgive them cause their spares are cheap compared to other brands.Infact i had such bad exp. that i recently gave up my warranty by not going anywhere near HH sc after they raped my bike.

I would recommend Castrol bike zone only if you are willing/able to stand
by the bike while its getting serviced.Never leave the bike ALONE ie go and relax in their A/C loungei stood their for over 6 hours. They even provided me with a chair but the mech was moving here and their so i had to do the same.I never seen any of my bikes getting serviced before so it was a very good exp. i say.My bike had a starting problem used to kick 30 times to get the thing started in the morning. But after going to CBZ it still starts with a single kick. But they have this stupid rule like thay dont accept any oil other than CASTROL.But i usually BRIBE my way out when i encounter situations like this. And so it was not a major problem for me .

^^^If they don't allow other oils, then can't you just say you dont want an oil change at all? You can always get it done outside, later. Not a problem unless you need to open the crankcase for some reason.

ur nt the only one who may face this !! dont knw y u feel sad about every matter that happens with u ( just a joke )
well the thing here is its also ur mistake that u dont understand ur bike
anyways the SC guys dont only have too many bikes with them,,,,, they have a fixed target as to how much no of bikes they have to complete ,,, as far as i heard,,,,,, so they do all THOOKPATTI jobs,,,,,,,,,
unless untill u have some serious complaint
tht is all they do
wash the bike n change the oil!!!
if u understand what the problem in ur bike n what factors to look after
then it really helps ,,,, it makes u sound informative in front of the sc guys n they take care of ur vehicle,,,,,,,
but the agony here is most of us including me dont knw much about our bikes so we cant help it!!!!

now i am trying to understand
u also start
as psycho 98 in other thread told me
start doing things by urself
then only will u understand things

I have no faith in free services. After the first 2 free services i never got my Karizma serviced anywhere, except for the oil changes which i do myself or get done with a local mech. The bike has covered 9000 kms till now and no problems touchwood, nothing to complain about. After the first service i found a fairing mount rubber grommet missing, and had them put it back. Second service was done at another authorised place and it was better compared to the first one but still was not satisfied by the way they handle the bike. These mech trainees working at the dealers will rape the bike when they go for test rides et al. Going fast isnt a problem but raping a cold engine is. My warranty is gone, but no problem i trust the Honda engine

Free services are just an Eyewash!

U can take better care of ur bike by yourself But for namesake we have to get the free services to get hold of warranty!
