Hi,I am Sandeep from Hyderabad.I think i am facing a unique problem with my rear disc brake since day one.The disc plate overheats & brake pads & disc plate need to be changed roughly every 2 months. The disc plate was changed 4 times, including once when the entire disc brake assembly was replaced under warranty.
Actually, the bike had a rear frame bend which was there since day one (Sep 2008).But i noticed it only recently in March 2009 when it was pointed out by a local mechanic. By that time,it had been more than a week since the rear disc plate was replaced under warranty. But sadly, the TVS service centre people did'nt do anything about it.So i shelled out 600 bucks & got the frame bend rectified locally. It's been almost 2 months now & the rear disc brake has almost ceased to function, putting my life in danger yet again. Please help me.I have given up on the service centre. They are of no help.Could this bike ever become normal or is it wise to get rid of this bike? I am desperate for a resolution. |

Nothing to do inthis case - since the bike is still under warranty --- its upto you to crap the TVS Officials --- to get your problem resolved.....
Yes uve spend thousands of Bucks for this mean machine - and because of a Brake issue - you cannot let it down under...... If still you face this issue - u can rethink the option of changing the RD assembly to Drum Brake assembly.........(IF YOU ARE STILL UNABLE TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM)

@Sandy: I suggest u take it up with the higher officials at TVS. They will help u out since it is under warranty and hopefully u do have proof that the parts were replaced quite frequently. Search for my post on the ownership thread with the email IDs of all top officials at TVS, shoot them an email and Wait for the result!

I didnt agree, and they first swapped the swingarm of my pulsar with another new one from a bike which was used as a spare part inventory. I could notice the difference very well. And BTW, the swingarm which is currently in my bike is the 3rd one ![]() U can confirm if it is the swingarm or mudguard by doing this. Just place ur eyes at the mid point of the rear shocks(while it s on the main stand), standing 2~3 foot away. Then see if the tyre aligns symmetrically with the imaginary line. If it s skewed , it s the swingarm. If not, it s the mudguard.
