Hi guys wanted to seek help as I am going to move to new zealand would like to know is it possible to take my bike with me and the cost in doing it.

IMHO, it is possible to take your bike there. The cost will depend upon the weight of your bike, the mode of transport which you chose and import duties(if any) in NZ.

Why would you want to export your bike to NZ. I can understand you wanting to do that only if the bike holds some sentimental value. If not then your only pissing your money away.

I am currently based in NZ and have been living here for the past 4 years, I've owned quite a few bike and currently ride a ZX-6R, you can see my pics with Sunny on the current NZ road trip. The most popular Indian bike the Bullet is availabile here too albeit a lil expensive.

Any bike you wish to bring from India will be too costly, once the bike is sent to NZ you will have to wait for atleast 30 days for the bike to clear quarantine. NZ is very particular about vehicles comign to the country, once a car or bike comes into the country it has to spend 30 days in the sun so that any insect or bacteria stuck to the bike die and do not harm the local industry. The bike will need to be shipped in a secured crate, finding one will be an experience in its own.

Rest for the price you will pay to buy a bike and ship to NZ you can buy a second hand bike in the same budjet...

Bkes start anywhere from NZ$3,000.00 to NZ$ 7,000.00 for the 250cc range. For that money you can buy a late model Jappa say a CBR 250, ZXR250, Hornet, VTR etc etc... A good place to look for is Trade Me ? New Zealand online auctions and classifieds. Browse, buy and sell online on trademe.co.nz
