Default Help on Projector and HID

Hi to all fellow xbhpians!
Lighting or Illumination had always been a prime concern for bikers!
Am one of them, as I own a R15 n I am not satisfied with the level of Illumination!
So I want to mod my headlight assembly a bit.
(Some short forms-
HL - Headlight
PR - Projector
HB - High Beam
LB - Low Beam)
This is what I am looking forward to..
I want to custom make my HL assembly in R1 fashion with 2 dedicated projectors for high n low beam on each side.
The Projector for low beam would be on inner side mounted with 35w XENON HID and outer Projectors will be for High beam mounted with 55w Halogen bulb or 35w HID with Red Angel eyes! (angel eys optional as I own a red R)
And angel eyes would be connected with LED pilot lamps,
I know many of u will say that my battery would drain out in few minutes with this config. But i want to clarify that I use the high beam v.v.very rarely n low beam would be only 35w HID n i strictly switch on my HL only after starting my engine, So i hope my battery wouldnt drain!!
So I wanted to know-
1.for High beam I should go with 35w 4300k Luminance HIDs or 55w HALOGEN??

Now,
Low beam projectors would be of P220( low beam parabolic projector lens) mounted with HID
2. Whats the cost of seperated p220 low beam projectors? (I want 2piece)
3. It Is available?
4. Any other options in place of p220 projectors?
5. Can 35w hid with ballast can be fitted on low beam?
6.how many ballasts are required to operate the low beam HID assembly?
7. Procedure of how to construct and make the assembly work? (any links or diagrams if possible)

High beam projectors would probebly be from some chinese company which already come fitted with Angel Eyes and Ballast!

Here are the Link of the websites and projectors in my list of purchase

http://www.tradeindia.com/selloffer/...FL-ALT-1A.html

http://gthid.manufacturer.globalsour...ector-Lens.htm

http://gthid.manufacturer.globalsour.../Headlight.htm

http://www.tradeindia.com/selloffer/...-Lens-Kit.html

8. Is it Advisable to buy the Chinese item? (durability, warranty, fittment etc)
9. Any other more reliable or better option except them?
10.ballast and/or relays are required in connecting 55w Halogens?
11.procedure and suggetions? (website links, diagrams, precautions or warnings?)

Suppose even if I sumhow made the whole assembly work then..
12. What is the black material inside the headlight on which the whole projector assembly is fixed?(black stuff find on R1,projector fixed in that black material)
13.where to get the black material and how to fix the assembly on it?
14.any other suggetions?
15.how the fix the whole HL case including the outer glass, inner black material and projectors?

Even I want to know how to source projectors!

And each HID will require their own ballast.

Contact digislayer, he has retrofitted projectors onto his bike.
I don't think Angel eyes can be made to work with pilot lamps!

Don't know about P220 projectors, but you can get skoda/sonata projectors from car junk yard at around 500rs or less, depending on condition.

So that meant I need 4 ballast if I opt to go with 4 HIDs for both High and Low beam!
Or 2 ballast if i opt for only 2 Hid on Low beam and 2 Halogen on High beam!
BTW.. Constant dipping and flashing (while overtaking someone or warning the oncoming vehicles) of High beam can affect the High beam HID?

No use brother!
I already mailed him, sent him a private msg and many more contacting trials but no reply from him!!
May be i can clarify a bit on angel eyes..
When u switch on the Pilot lamp then angel eyes mounted on the outer HB projectors should start working along with pilot lamps!

Thumbs up

@Shanz- The black material is nothing but the structural casing required to hold the projectors in place. They can be made out of acrylic plastic. You might want to go throught he below link on how to install a projector headlamp, though this video shows how to install a projector for a car..

All the best

Thankyou! Anil..
That video was really helpful.
So, that acrylic plastic is available in the market?

Sourcing in the genuine 1st hand projectors is not a big deal as Im getting good quality Bosch,Xenos etc products but they are way too expensive!!
As expensive as 10thousand bucks for a pair of low beam projectors!!!
Thats why sourcing in good quality CHEAPER product is of primary concern!
Looks like I have to make a special trip to metro JUNKYARDS around this subcontinent for the sake of my restless soul!!
Though can u suggest that which city has BETTER JUNKYARDS?
Delhi or Mumbai??
U kno, kinda metro where I can find my deal?

P.s. I cant see the attachment!!
And do not laugh for the guy asking about better junkyards!!
