  • [Help]: Clarification on Chain sprocket for RX 135 4S

    Hi

I was told by my mechanic to install chain sprocket of RXG. He said it is for good pick up and better top end.

He said to ask for Rolon RXG Chain sproket kit from the spare parts shop and would costs 850 bucks and he's got it in his Libero.

From what he said, it looks like the front might be smaller and the rear sprocket should be slighter bigger than the standard one. Is this true? I'm not sure.

Also, by doing this modification, will this affect the present mileage?

I leave this open discussion for you all to pour is some advise so that I can decide whether this is a waste or woth spending.

I don't want to modify air filter for better pick up - like K&N or Uni.

What are the number of teeth before and after? and on which ones. The number of teeth for the sprockets will determine whether you are gearing for a higher speed or better acceleration.

Are you changing the front sprocket also?? ( im not sure if they had any differences )

these are sprocket sizes from a diamond chain catalog.
i've circled the number of teeth.
Larger nmber is rear and smaller is front

          Hope this helps

more midrange less top end = 16/37

Try 15/37 RXG sprokets you will love it. do let us know the difference before and after.

Re: [Help]: Clarification on Chain sprocket for RX 135 4S

                  3 My rx135 2000 model 4 speed came with16/34 sprocket.

Pl suggest if changing this to 15/37 or 15/39 effect the fuel economy as I understand mid range would improve with reduced top end.
