  • [Photo Feature]: 13th Oct 09: Moto GP Stars at Federation Square, Melbourne

Aditya Pande had the good fortune of attending a promotional event at Federation Square in Melbourne. This comes before the Moto GP race at Philip Island this weekend.

Wayne Gardner, Mick Doohan and Glenn Allerton (Australian SBK Champion) were there.

Michael "Mick" Sydney Doohan AM born 4 June 1965 (age 44) in Brisbane, Australia, is a former Grand Prix motorcycle road racing World Champion, who won five consecutive 500 cc World Championships, second only to Giacomo Agostini. Doohan's feat has since been equalled by Valentino Rossi, who won 5 consecutive 500cc/MotoGP world championships from 2001-2005, and a 6th MotoGP World Championship in 2008. Doohan is considered to be one of the best motorcycle racers in the history of the sport, and remains an inspiration to those involved in the sport.
Wayne Michael Gardner OAM (born 11 October 1959 (age 50) in Wollongong, New South Wales) is a former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer and touring car racer. His most notable achievement was winning the 1987 500 cc Motorcycle World Championship, becoming the first Australian to win motorcycling's premier class.[1] His success on the world motorcycle racing circuit earned him the nickname The Wollongong Whiz.
At just 27, Glenn Allerton has achieved accelerated success with the Australian Superbike Championships since his frst road bike race in 2001. The reigning Australian Superbike Champion, Glenn is a member of the Motologic Racing Team and has received plenty of attention from media, sponsors and the international motorcycle community due to his 2008 season win in November.
