  • My Yamaha 1996 RXG135 (5 Speed) Rebuild

    Hello Everybody,

I was glad to receive the comments on my Shogun rebuild . Now i am presenting you my Yamaha 1996 RXG135 (5-Speed) one of my three bikes (2 Yamaha's & a Shogun) that i own. I have completely restored it to new after more than a months struggle of running around for genuine parts. A heartfull thanks to my friend who has helped me rebuild this bike for me from scrap. Hope you all like it. Do give me your comments and advices on the work done.

    Thank you!

Sir,It is very good to know that you had restored it. And detailed pics also show the neatness and the quality of work.

What were the stages taht you took and what all problems did you face if any.?
what all did you change, that might not be stock, say for ex: Disc Set up.

          Hello..

The bike is looking sporty with red coat. I'm sure many would have asked how much did you spend on the restoration. I would also like to add another question.......what is the spec that you got into it?

Wow! Lovely bike. It can still manage to give some newer bikes an inferiority complex. I would say its money well spent. How about giving us a detailed view about how the restoration was carried out?

Glad you liked my bike. It surely does give newer bikes an inferiority complex especially when i stop at a signal and everybody ask me,
"Yamaha ne phir se naya production chalu kar diya kya?"
                    else
"Yamaha ke kaunse showroom mein available hai?"
Trust me every peny spent on my baby is worthwhile. I will give you the detailed view of restoration soon.

And another things I like are the mods. They blend very well with the rest of the bike and are very functional. None of the mods are over the top or loud.

Put a chrome screw into that hole near the gear lever.

Glad to meet you online Nikhil Heard a lot about you and your shaolin from Ameya. Honestly i really dont know if the piston will work or not as i was not there at the time of purchase. But i remember the last time i visited Atul Scooters he said he had a tvs original shaolin block & piston complete kit for sale Rs.7,500. The stickers are still not available but the shopowner knows me well so he said he will notify me asap if its available. Dont worry will keep you posted. Did you check my Shogun which i got restored? Let me know if you liked it or not?

Glad you liked my mods as they are very moderate. Will surely put a chrome screw into the hole near the gear lever.Actually its the support patti screw for the belly. Thank you so much for your kind advice
