Its been in my mind for quite some time to do a Char Dham yatra on bike. I think this is the first time I am seeing a travelogue on this. I will be keenly watching this thread, Bholabhai!

                Day-1:
We started from Hisar at 6:00 am. All of us decided not to drive above 60 since up to Dehradoon its plain area and more risky (I think so).We gathered at Hisar bye pass. Got tank full from there. All the way it was raining. We reached Panipat at 9:00 am and stopped for brunch which we were carrying from home. We reached at Haridwar at 2:00 pm. we took bath on Holi Har ki Pori. The water was very cold but it made us so fresh that we could do 300 more kms without any problem. At 4:00 pm we started for Dehradoon. On the way near to Bikawala Splender slipped in roadside mud.
Subhash was injured in this accident. We got first aid at Pundir Clinic at Bikawala. It was so expensive or it was only for tourists. God knows. We suggest not to go at such Clinics. At last we reached Dehradoon at 9:00 pm. There we stayed in Jain Dharamshala near railway station on reasonably good rate. It was Rupees 300 for two rooms with attached bath. At night we discussed a lot about Subhash and his injury. While we were discussing it again started heavy rain. We decided not to go ahead because of Subhash. In the morning we were surprised to see that Subhash was ready with injured leg to complete the yatra. He also made us to do so.

Here are the pics of day 1

Wow! Another tour to the land of gods! Keep them coming, Bholabhai!
All men dream, but not equally. Those that dream at night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act upon their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible. - T. E. Lawrence
