    1. I ride around 200 kms a week. (70% hihg way, 20% rural/villege roads, 10% city ). It should be comfortable for a 5ft 9, 70 kg rider.

    2. Milege around 50. (Highway)

    3. Braking and cornering should be top notch.

    4. Should have good pick up and stability at 60-90 kmph range.

You want the best of all worlds! Ride quality, speed, performance, handling, braking, fuel efficiency. Basically you would not mind having the fuel efficiency of the Super Splendour with the performance of the Pulsar 220 and the handling of the R15.

    Tough choice.

The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Ken said it ! you want the best of everything

I think the RTR 180/160Fi fits the bill somewhat. It has good braking/cornering, decent power, decent mileage and looks good too (thats subjective though)

We are like this, we want everything...

How is the RTR in the fuel efficiency department by the way?

I have only Manan's opinion on it, and he used to say that his RTR runs on fumes (His RTR 160 gave 55+ on tours !! while my T20 managed 35 to 38)

Thanx for your replies... And 1 thing, i dont want the best of everything, but a bit of everything would be appreciated. Regarding the bike, i too have rtr on mind, but almost everyone i ask tell me not to put my money on that bike. For, its not comfortable for a rider of my height. I have nt yet taken a test on 180, but 160 itself proved its worth. Now, if you can give me a clear idea about the fuel efficieny of this bike, that would be of great help. As said earlier, i ride mostly on highways. Speed around 60-80. Acceleration neither too slow, nor too fast.

Hero Honda ZMR will not be a bad option. Can read the ZMR threads.
Need to figure out your budget & waiting period there.
At least you will not regret it.

In Kolkata I booked and got it delivered same day.
34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

                        Hi,

In my opinion the RTR is a great bike and is built for the kill. But considering your requirements the RTR will not suit you. It is a tad noisy for cruising and you'll go mad with the vibrations if you are expecting 100% stress free ride(No hard feelings RTR guys, just my opinion)Mileage...well....if you dont rev it hard often then it might return good(45-50) but if you rip it ocassionally then dont expect anything above 40.

Check out the Unicorn or the new dazzler. They are worth considering. Uni has proved to be a reliable commuter as well as a good cruiser. Also the GS from suzuki can be considered as it has 6 gears and will suit highway riding. Anyways you can't expect the throttle response of the RTR on these bikes. But both these bikes will give you the mileage you expect and 100% stress free ride. Not to forget these bikes have silky smooth engines.

Pulsars are great bikes I believe. Many say bajaj is going down. But no, they are building an empire silently. Pulsar 150 is great. Optimum perfomance, great mileage(55) and rider comfort and not to forget loads of gadgets. The only problem with pulsars is that they are too popular. Not wide range of colors to choose also.

You have less options to chose from so it is an easy job.
Do take test drive of all the above bikes.

!!IMPORTANT!! DON'T FORGET TO CHECK ABOUT THE SERVICE OFFERED BY THE DEALER WITH LOCALS. After buying a bike you need to keep it in shape. It depends both on your care and the service people.

                        Chose wisely....

                        100cc doing 100+ is awesome!!
150cc cornering like hell is great!

Hope you are talking about RTR180...But if its the 160 you talking about then I hope you were just kidding

@Thread Starter : I would suggest you first short-list a few bikes and check teh ownership section of each of them for proper details.

My take for your requirements : GS150R
                          ...Back to HIBERNATE mode...

+1... short list some bikes... (obviously there will be very few bikes from your needs)
i can't suggest you a bike, because the queries of yours don't suit any...

My Poll: Unicorn (which will suit your choice marginally)...
