  • yamaha FZ-S or Honda DAZZLER

    Bikerz,

I'm in a big dilemma in choosing my rider. Yamaha FZ-S or Honda DAZZLER..

I'm highly impressed by the looks of FZ-s, but afraid whether it suits me coz i'm 6 ft. On the other hand, I'm not sure about the dazzler, but i have this in my mind only for it's from honda.

    my buget is 77K

    your suggestions invited..

Hello, If your budget is 77K then for 1k more, you can go for the Pulsar 220S which is 78K on road (here in vadodara) but also, try for fazer if you can stretch,

Personally, i would wait to see how the dazzler runs & performs before buying, if you can wait and get a test drive somewhere then that would be the best option!!

      Happy & Safe Riding!

@seven: I was in a similar situation till a couple of days back and I have made a decision.

Of course, I have my reasons. I had waited for this new avatar of Unicorn for a long time. And though its seems a definite improvement over the current Unicorn, it has also disappointed me. The only reason is the complete upright riding position which I was hoping Honda would take care of in the Dazzler, but they didn't!! I was expecting a riding position similar to FZ. Other than that, I have to see how it performs before passing any more judgement about the Dazzler. However, its lighter, smaller and wee bit more powerful than current Unicorn, so the Dazzler should outperform it. But personally I am disappointed with the riding stance, and its a very important factor for me!

On the other hand, FZ, it definitely looks better, is sportier and even lighter with a kerb weight of 135 kgs. FZ is fantastically fun bike to ride with a decent level of smoothness and comfort too. I prefer this. Quality wise I'll rate both same, Yamaha and Honda...you know! I would like to believe that the FZ would be more fun to ride due to its sportier riding stance. And I also believe that the sportier riding stance complements FZ perfectly given its personality, a Streetfighter. I do not care about the mileage much as I had owned classic CBZ, Karizma and now bullet So I am fine FZ's considerably low mileage. Fun is more important to me, and I believe that FZ has more of fun to offer

As for the highways, other than the top speed, FZ should keep you smiling!

          So decide what you want

i have Fazer as my second motorcycle and i am seriously considering it to replace it because of its terribly low FE, as low as ~25kmpl in sane riding(swear, don't go over 6K)

^have checked the air/fuel screw thing

I don't think there is much difference in both the bikes except looks, sitting stance, and mileage.

Dazzler is not too small if compared to FZ. Both have almost same dimension with difference of .7cm in wheelbase. With some small diff in other dimension. height wise both are same, dazzler being slight lengthier but slight lesser in width. So overall both bikes are small for big guys.
I can safely say that FZ is the best looker in its segement but I also liked Dazzler when I saw it in physical.
Price wise also: FZS would 77+K on road in Bangalore and Dazzler with necessay accessories it would cost you 76+k on road.
Quality wise boh should be at par. I had heard/read many issues with FZ alloy as it bends really easily .. I hope that's not a prob with Dazzler at least.

the dazzler sure looks good in flesh to an extent but does not match up to the FZ IMO...keeping the unicorn in mind,I'm damn sure it will be a no hassle machine. The only downside of FZ is it's dismal FE figures being a 150cc bike.also it "may" look a tad short for tall frame bodies...but i prefer the FZ personally
It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

I dont think that Honda Dazzler will suit you!!! As you have mentioned that you are 6ft... Honda Dazzler is a small bike compared to Yamaha FZ-S....Brother, Just go to nearest Yamaha showroom and book FZ-S because If You compare dazzler and fz-s,, FZ-S is ahead in eveything!!!

If you're 6 feet tall, I wonder if the short and compact FZ would suit you. I don't know about the Dazzler.
I am 193cm tall myself; i ride a 2008 model Unicorn. It is a high pedestal of sorts, taller than my neighbour's Bullets even!
