  • Urgent suggestion-booking a bike tomorrow

    hey guys,
it was my birthday yesterday and i managed to force my parents to buy me a bike.....am gonna book one tomorrow for sure.....

im in love with the r15....i rode my friends r15 many times and i really love its handling, looks, performance and everything........

ive also ridden the p220 and the zmr......

    thing is...im 6 feet 2 inches.....my weight is 85kgs.....hence am well built

(not a fan of the thumpers-royal enfields)

so am really confused between r15 or p220...(zmr i just am not convinced enough of the 20k extra ill be paying in comparison to p220)(fazer im guessing has an inferior engine--i mean wont enjoy its performance)

am a rider who likes to ride around 80kmph,and occasionally take sharp cuts, corners etc etc.....

please suggest me something fast!!plllsss thanks!!

R15 is the best Indian bike today, build quality, handling, performance, looks... best all round bike, if you can forgo the lack of low-end torque, this bike has everything!
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Go for 220 f man you enjoy the pleasure of riding.I wiont suggest R15 to you because it doesn't look good as it is slim bike and you also won't feel the power compared to 220
Faster, faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death.....[:)]

R15 is better.. but considering your built, you may not feel very comfy on this machine..again, if you have no problems with that.. why not go for it ) after all you like it.

as you have good hight and weight my opinion for you is to buy directly proportional thing which you will find in P-220 & ZMR both are meant for you...

We have three things in common

            1) We are both 6'2"
            2) We both like the R-15 (Well, in my case I love it)
            3) We both want to buy it, just that you can and I can't, as I don't have a lac to spare and it does not have much utility for me as I being a tourer and ride a lot on off-roads.

And if you think that being tall is a hurdle between you and the R-15 then think again. Apart from a little difficulty in applying brakes (which you will adjust to in a couple of months of riding), there is no issue whatsoever. No back pain, no wrist pain, nothing!

The machine handles like a dream and brakes like another. Both good dreams, I must add! And it is a rev-loving machine which you will find great to ride.

            Buy it!

If you are willing to spend 1.05L on a motorcycle, surely the cost of spares won't be an issue for you.

And it is not a high maintainance bike. I ride a friend's bike almost every weekend. He's taken it to Leh and back, 40K on the clock and it runs like almost new!

And it is readily available in delhi, as far as I know.

PS: The radiator is expensive at 6k!

                    Ha ha...no!

The panels are available separately and are relatively in-expensive.

Things like the kit (8K) are the ones that are expensive.

Well if you had asked earlier I would have suggested P220 but since you are gonna buy one tomorrow and since you have fallen in love with R15....I say go ahead. Think no further. You won't stand a chance to regret. It is a different level of biking. Don't make any last minute changes. By the way belated birthday wishes.

Since you did not get it, I have corrected the post above.

Also, I love the Yamaha-Blue. But then color is to each his own.
