  • Help me to purchase a bike with onroad price below 60000 in bangalore with good look

    Hi all,

I am planning to buy a bike within RS.60000. this is the first time i am purchasing a bike. So I need advice from all of you on which bike to purchase. I need a smooth bike which doesn't give any problems on long run(in terms of years). Comfortable and good looking. I dont know how the various motor bike service centers are here in bangalore. The bikes I find interesting are

Gladiator, honda twister, Honda CB Stunner, pulsar 135cc, Yamaha SZ(havent released yet but pics are nice). I dont have much idea on bikes as i learnt driving and received license two months before. So i am open to suggestions and I need a comprehensive analysis on the bikes. The need for the bike is for daily commuting from marathalli to bagmane tech park in bangalore(approx 10 kms) and to escape from the city on weekends towards any nearby villages.

good top end:- p135 & gladiator
      mileage:- honda twister
      good 0-60:- stunner

If you would specify your details then it would be much better. If you are long then the p135 may be little bit cramped & uncomfortable for you.

I guess there are "N+1" number of threads in 'what bike' section. You may go through that to educate yourself more about your ideal "Rs.60000" machines.

Better go for Stunner or Gladiator .... p135 will get obsolete in a year's time..

              dats not an excuse!

then what about those ppl who are buying this product now?

Most significant thing i felt about p135's r no major problems in the first lot!
and dat is enough reason to get excited.
              What you say?

                thats right
but i would say Stunner; Honda quality is their, will go on and on ...
Its good to have twister in terms of mileage on old Airport road [ between marathali and bagmanee......... ]

                Gladiator is also good

P135 is still less than a year old;so am not sure abt it

if you can wait..then go for sz...it is probably gonna be evolved version of gladiator, one of the best 125cc.
Or else choose between stunner and p135. I would prefer P135 although the new stunner looks better.
                  My first choice is gladiator>>>SZ
                  Soham.

There are very few Gladiators on the road.. in that way it's already obsolete!! It's a good machine.. no doubt.. many times I wondered why people are not buying this one from Yamaha.. but there is no answer to this question.

Under 60k, P135 is the best that you can get (actually, i think it's slightly more than 60k depending on place!). It's not easy to ignore the bike for what's on offer. And more importantly it's got the Pulsar DNA..i.e. performance.

I have recently went to showroom of Bajaj in bangalore(Khivraj showroom at indira nagar) they mentioned that the onroad price for P135 is 62000 and Onroad price for Discover 135 cc is 60000. Yamaha Gladiator onroad price is 59600. Pulsars are very common nowadays and most of my frens are telling not to go for it because of its commonality. I have to decide between Yamaha Gladiator and stunner. I dont know how the feel wil be on gladiator as I have never driven it. hould have to go for testride.

Costwise Honda Stunner and Bajaj 135 cc both are nearly same but I liked the looks of stunner even better...are there any demerits in stunner..in terms of riding safely and performance at high speeds(at 70kmph..I.e is high speed for me)

I need the bike for daily commuting...the distance will be around 20 kms per day. Height is 5'8" and weight is 60 kgs. Pickup is not a consideration and average mileage is ok for me. As i am new to Bikes I have not yet came to a decision on which bike to purchase...I think stunner seems to be better..but i dont know how it will feel to ride it at high speeds and will there be any haking and how is it performance..

if you want to take the bike for a high speeds & highway ridings then stunner would not be your cup of tea & better go for gladiator. But if you want a good low end performer with good 0-60 then the stunner is for you. The stunner acts as a vibrator & starts screaming after 60kmph. It has a soft front end also due to which it makes a thud sound while taking on poth holes & bumps. But it is the best looker in its segment. Since you want the bike for city riding the stunner is good. If you want a bike with good comfort & better touring capabilities the gladiator is the answer.
