  • Suggest a bike for my case

    Hi,
I am 5 feet 11 inch tall and travel almost 60 kms to n fro to reach office and back home. Please let me know which bike should I go with to travel this everyday.
I am impressed with some of the reviews about Avenger, which gives a cruiser like experience. Please let me know if this will be ok for my requirement. Will I have any problem due to my height with this bike(As mentioned somewhere)? Though mileage is not that great a factor for me since I am looking for more stress free, back pain less and pleasant drive, how is the mileage of the Avenger of 220 and 200 and which one of them is better.
Any other bike. Suggestions and advice on this would be of great help. Thanks.

If you are going to do 60 KMs daily, I think you should consider buying a used / new car. It is a different matter if you have set your heart on buying a bike. Several people have suggested that the Karizma is very good for touring. This might be an option.

Hiee...Sandeep...welcome to Xbhp......Avenger might be a option for daily 60kms ride...best for cruising on highways.... but not good for city riding....... mileage of avenger is nearby about 35-40 km/litre......depends on your riding style....220 has 19PS while 200 has got 17PS....spare part availability is an issue though...

You can also consider RE Thunderbird Twinspark, if within your budget.

I mentioned on the avenger thread that the Dazzler or GS150R would suit you.
How could I forget the bike which iRide, The Karizma. Its very nice dude. and for ur height, it would fit properly.
If u can sacrifice on little lesser mileage and expensive spares, just go for it.

u can also try Honda CB Unicorn or GS150R certainly no back pains...neither harsh on pocket, good engines and yes..... a bit low on performance...

I feel the karizma is a good deal as its a hassle free bike and the commuting of 60 kms would be taken easily with it, morever you can easily use it in city and highways

Thanks Sunil for approving the query. Thanks Drift, yes I am very new to this great group.
Thanks to Rapperswil, Abhishek, Coplay, Shrinath, Raghave and Drifty for your advice and suggestion.

@Rapperswil, I am living in Bangalore, distance from office to home is almost 27 kms and it is in heavy traffic were movement of one feet would be graceful at times.
@Drifty, Thanks for your inputs. This cleared my mind which was a bit occuppied with Avenger.

@Abhishek, Thanks a lot for suggesting TBTS. As of now its a bit out of my mind both due to the budget and the problems I see it gives as mentioned in many threads here.

Which among Dazzler, Unicorn and GS150 R is better? Can you give me more information on Karizma? I didnt understand what you mean by little lesser mileage and expensive spare. what is the mileage of Karizma? Is it so hard and costly to get spares of K??

Thanks for your suggestions and advice in advance.

the dazzler is the best. But if you are more of a tourer then the GS150 R would be better. The added 6th gear gives it a low vibrations & better mileage with relaxed touring. But that doesnt mean that the dazzler is not a good tourer but comparetively the GS150R takes the lead in touring & dazzler has the lead in top speed , SC availability etc etc.

The karizma is also a good bike but the mileage of it is a bit low & even its spares availability is low & their pricing is high. But that doesnt mean that you will have to search for the spares with a torchlight You can get them in a matter of few days. But when compared to the other competition they are a bit hard to obtain.

In between the 220 & 200 anyday the 220 would be the best pick.

P.S:- did you tried out the pulsar 220 ???

I would suggest Karizma or GS150R. Dazzler does'nt seems upto the mark , I rode it knock's like hell.

Both bikes....Karizma R or GS150R are good for cruising and city commuting.....GS 150R churns out 14PS.....has got smooth refined engine + it is the only 150cc bike to sport a six speed gearbox(R15 is an exception)......gear shifting is also smooth ....GS clocks are also the best in 150cc segment.....it has got good built quality and finish......and most important....it also feels stress free on long rides...the only concern is that there are very less number of SC of Suzuki......
Karizma R tops out 17PS....so cruising will be much stress free compared to GS150R ...it has also got refined engine...build quality ,fit and finish is also equally good + HH has a great network of SC..... GS150R is in 150cc segment & Karizma R is under 220cc segment....what is your budget???First of all tell us your budget bro...
