I woke up to see that clouds had gathered all around us.It was not raining and was a very pleasant climate. Not one of those days when you would like to stay at home.
Had college that day so, packed my bag and left for the campus. But to my surprise the college had been closed until further notice due to Swine Flu.
I thought "Damn it.Thanks to the virus, we can be of to some where". Someone said lets go somewhere out of the city. Just a good ride to make us happy.
So off we went.!!
We thought of going somewhere out of the city, just we and our machines.Hang out an come back.
We began from Khandagiri crossing and our plan was to escape from the city to the outskirts. We planned to go towards Patia and head further north towards Barang.
In between we stopped by a Fuel Station to refuel our tanks. As we moved outwards we were amazed and enthralled by the serene and calm environment. Just fields of paddies and nice green trees everywhere.
This is the real India.Nature at its best.
We then passed by the Nandankanan Bio-reserve and onto the towns and villages around it.The road from here reduced from a two-laned to single-laned.The traffic here is not that much. Just occasional trucks and dumpers show up. We then decided that we should head eastwards towards the cuttack district from where we would join NH-5 back to our home.
On the way we stopped by on the river bridge to take some snaps. Generally the riverbed is easily visible , but in the rainy season the whole river is at its maximum and it is a sight to behold.Moving on we joined the NH-5 and headed back home.
From here biking is at its best. The roads are wide(Golden Quadrilateral!!) and the traffic is also not much.We sticked to the leftmost lane as cars and bikes zoomed past us.We were enjoying our time and the view too.
As we neared the city the traffic grew and we were welcomed by the hustle-bustle of the city.
Since we had done a good round of touring we decided to stop at an eating joint and end our plans for the day.
All in all, our batteries were once again recharged. Its good to be free from the monotonic life.At times it becomes repetitive and then is the time to pick up the keys and head out with your machine.
