  • Yamaha RD350 or Kawasaki Ninja 250 Or Royal Enfield Classic 500

Hi guys, I have Rd350 working fine without any problem. I was planning to sell the Rd and get Kawasaki Ninja 250 or RE 500 Classic. Please help me if it would be a good decision. The only issue with RD is the maintenance other than that its an amazing bike...

I am Confused what to do so Please help me to make wiser decision.Your reply would greatly appreciated.

If you are into sports bikes then ninja. If you are more of a mile muncher on the highway then RE500classic.
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Price wise - RD < RE500 < Ninja 250 ( though the RD will burn the maximum fuel )

If you want the bike to service you on the highway, rather than you spending time in the garage servicing her, then ninja 250 eyes closed.

If you still turn your head when a RE thumps by, then go for the RE500... If you like to make heads turn, then go for the ninja...

Okay... jokes apart, the RE500 is a whole 1.5 lakh cheaper, ( than the ninja ), but it can cruise all day at 90-100 kmph.

The ninja is the most reliable bike of the trio, and also the fastest. Touring on the ninja is a breeze as many owners ( including me ) have discovered.

If you are selling your RD, then buy ninja.

If you can keep it, then go for the RE.

The thump has been dead with the stupid UCE's I'm really sad and my friend even though you say it costs cheaper the maintenance only a fan of RE can happily keep it you got to be a bulleteer by heart then so of the given choice only Ninja doesnt naggle go for it

Quite puzzling situation. One is like Leopard(Ninja) & other one is like a Bull(RE500). You can also opt for P220. It actually depends on what you intend to do on the bike. Like Touring, Commuting or Racing.

I will suggest either go for Ninja for Racing or TBTS for Touring.

if you love ur rd and love to ride hard and well ... relish the 6 gears etc- the next cheap option is only ninja for you. your mention of RE shows some diminishing feel about solid bike ride only an RD can give.

owned all three. no comparison between RE and RD. no suggestion here.

                  Sell the RD to me!!
Get a ninja if you consider getting a new bike because since you say you've been riding the RD, you are used to crotch rockets and trust me. Bullet is not one. The Ninja on the other hand can give you all the grunt you'd want plus more. It will be more reliable than your current RD and parts are also available. The Ninja will be more fun to ride.

why do you want to sell it in the first place...C'mon,you own a legend..
but if you're intent on selling it,I'll have to go with what pavan said..

No bike currently made in India will give you the pleasure and fun of an RD......

Untill you really want to go for something 'new', keep the RD.....Nothing beats the sheer pleasure and insanity of 350...!!!

Go for the Ninja because its a sports+tourer. RE500 is mostly a tourer. The Ninja is anyday a good choice over the RE if price is not an issue. But like some of them are saying, retain the RD. The Ninja is the only bike that can come close to replacing the thrills of the RD.
Riding is a way of life. Sometimes, it might also be a way of giving life. So Ride safe. In both contexts.

Actually Getting Ninja would be little expensive.... Getting C500 would be ok...

Might think of keeping the RD or getting the Thump...

How did you get your RD? Did you inherit it or was it with you from the beginning...??
I'd say , don't sell it[die hard RD fan! ].. 'cos I know the difficulty in finding a condition RD for a reasonable price and I have been behind this one for months and finally giving up due to financial problems!

But if you're particular on selling it.. sell it to an RD enthusiast[there will be plenty] and try to fetch enough profit from it so that you can easily go for the Ninja..
After riding the RD , I don't think the bullet being a cruiser will be able to deliver that initial pickup you're so used to..
                              juz a personal opinion bro..

Anyways all the best! Make a wise choice!
