  • Condolences on the sad demise of El Loco Diablo (Nazrene Shamir)

It is with deep regret that we condole the sad demise of Chennai xBhp member El Loco Diablo a.k.a. Nazrene Shamir.

A curious and enthusiastic biker, Nazrene had a unique style of writing. He always loved to get his knee down on the tarmacs of MMRT and Cholavaram air field. His articles in the Hard Torque section are read by many and are still being discussed.

Let's pray for the departed soul. May god give strength to his family to bear this huge loss.

    Rest in peace, Nazrene.

    Nazrene Shamir (EL Loco Diablo) - 30 May, 1989 - July 10, 2010

P.S.: Nazrene along with his friends visited Mahabs on July 10. Although he didn't venture into deep waters, he was caught in a huge wave and pulled in to the sea. The body was recovered only the next day.

He had just completed his graduation from Loyola College, Chennai and was all set to take up his first job at Sutherland on July 12, 2010. His family has moved from Chennai to Gudiyattam (where his father currently works).

All men dream, but not equally. Those that dream at night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act upon their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible. - T. E. Lawrence

Got the news only this morning!

Am still shocked to hear this.

To me he was always that lil kiddo who would be super enthu about anything related to biking.

His first ride on xBhp about 2.5 years back, I still remember him riding right behind me...

I will really miss this guy!

Death is at its most ruthless and callous when it negates the natural order of justice. That a parent has to perform the last rites of his child is so unjust. It is true that no house or family has been left untouched by the inevitability of death. Whatever is...must go. But what hurts and hits the hardest is its absolute permanence. We can only pray for and wish that we depart in the order we are born in.

May the Almighty give Nazrene's family the strength to face this devastating loss. El Loco shall always be remembered on xBhp for his writings in Hard Torque. I, who had never met him in person, shall always remember how a young man showed maturity beyond his age when he defined a biker in 'The Definition of a Biker'.

                              Rest in Peace Rider.
